After all, a photograph took more time than his charcoal, and with his trained eyes, it was easy to highlight details that might be missed. A picture was more useful than a written report, in that respect. Landscapes were beautiful, in their own way. Animals too, possessed of a sleek, strong beauty that he couldn't help but attempt to emulate himself.
