He was in a wonderful mood. He'd gotten in later than intended due to the rather long talk with his mother, which had been oddly easier with this one than the one from home ever was anymore, and by the time he'd made it home is good mood had returned and he'd settled right to bed.

Morning, on the other hand, had brought the flowers and he found himself looking out the window in curious fascination at them, mussed from sleep and somewhat bewildered.

Since when did snow bring flowers?

He freed a shaking hand to stroke her hair, still panting as he made a positive noise.

She let out a pleased sound and nestled in closer, letting him stroke through her hair as she nuzzled against his skin. "Mm... you promised. About healing." She blinked her eyes open and glanced to the scratches on his chest.

"That I could if it was bad enough." He murmured the words and hummed an affirmative.

"That's pretty bad! You should heal yourself now!" She didn't bother to lift her head from his thigh, but frowned up at him.

"Not really." He blinked down at her, then pressed his fingers over the seeping scratches. He'd make the bleeding stop anyway.

"You want me to do worse to you?" She groaned quietly and nuzzled her cheek against his thigh. "I'm going to end up seriously hurting you by mistake..."

Satisfied that he wouldn't bleed all over everything, he moved his hand to stroke her hair. "You don't have to use nails. They're blunt you know."

"What do you want me to use, then?" Her eyes fell closed again under his touch, her fingers curling lightly around his waist.

"I don't know, but the bluntness is more damaging than some other things could be, if that's your concern."

She groaned again, not liking to admit her ignorance aloud, and murmured, "I guess I could... see if I could find a book on... this kind of stuff."

Wow. That sounded even lamer once she said it.

He perked up a little. "You would?"

"I can find one?" She opened one eye to glance up at him. "Do people even write books about that kind of stuff...?"

"Of course they do." He blinked once. "It's just a matter of looking."

"Then I'll look." Alright, if Itachi wasn't going to belittle her, what would be the harm? She rubbed her cheek against him one more time before pulling back. "Can we go lie down somewhere, for a little bit?"

"Whatever you like Tenten." It was a murmur, and he gave her hair a last pet before she was out of range.

"Mmhm... just for a little bit. It's still early, you know." She kissed his knee quickly before pushing herself to her feet, only bending to collect her soiled dress and toss it to him with a grin. "After all, you'll have to clean that for me~"

"I should clean it first so it doesn't stain." He looked at her as he caught it, petting the material.

She glanced at him and shook her head, reaching out with a hand. "Can't I just hold you, a little bit? Before we have to go and be responsible again."

He bit his lower lip, then nodded once before getting to his feet. "As you like. Just let me toss this in a sink of water on the way?"

"Mm..." She hummed quietly, then offered a shrug and another smile. "I'll go wait for you, then? I don't want to wake Sasuke up if he's still sleeping, though."

"I'll be right there." He touched her arm, then headed off to do as needed.

She watched him go, then made her way to the bedroom, as silently as possible grabbing one of her silk bathrobes and donning it before making herself comfortable on the couch, folding her legs beneath her.

He didn't take long on his detour, cleaning up a little better while he was in there and crawling onto the couch next to her, settling against her side.

Almost immediately she shifted, curling up to rest her cheek against his thigh and curl her fingers gently against his knee, stroking lightly. "I think..." she murmured quietly, "I like this part best."

"You do?" It was a murmur, and he moved his hand to stroke over her hair.
