Minato was cautious as he stumbled upon the village. But it was probably unnecessary to exercise such caution because, well, he was dead already. At least he was supposed to be. This didn’t feel like the afterlife. Minato still felt as if he were alive, like he hadn’t sacrificed himself sealing away the Kyuubi. The holes that had been made in his clothing from the Kyuubi’s attack were still there. But the actual injury that he had sustained wasn’t. No left over scars or anything, just completely healed.
But if this wasn’t the afterlife, then what was it? Was Kushina here too? He would find the answer to those questions and more eventually, he hoped. For now, he just continued on his way. As he ventured further into the village, he didn’t feel any sort of hostility from the villagers that he passed. He did hear chatter of something called The Honoring, from what he could glean, it has something to do with honoring the ones that you cared about. Alive or dead. But he didn’t attempt to inquire about it to learn more. He didn’t know if anyone would even tell him if he did.
Still, as he moved through the village, his guard remained up just in case someone did turn hostile, though he looked fairly relaxed. Minato eventually managed to find his way to the supply district. Maybe it was just good fortune that he found himself there of all places, because with the state of his clothing as it was, he could use some things to repair them.
That or a new set of clothing all together. He could feel his wallet in his pocket, so he knew that wherever this was that he'd been brought to, he at least had some money on him. Though with how busy this place was right now with people preparing for The Honoring he was starting to think that maybe he should wait for things to die down before attempting to make any purchases.
