[open] singing in the rain (or not)

After such a long dry spell without water (without a shower, more importantly) having it rain so much, to see all the wet, could have been a heaven sent. For a while, Ino stands in the middle of a downpour, her blonde hair getting plastered to her face and dirty war clothes. The fabric of her flak jacket and shirt heavy as it weighed her body down.

It's not long before she looks more like a drowned rat than her usual lively self.

She's not sure how to react at first because she should be used to how strange these places tend to be. Her face tilts up and she squints at the dark sky, wincing a bit when a water droplet falls too close to her eye.

Once the situation and the irony of it all sinks in, Ino grits her teeth and shouts to no one in particular.

"I COULD HAVE REALLY USED THIS DOWNPOUR A FEW DAYS AGO!"

Their teas came, the warm liquid's scent temporarily hanging around.

There was a light chuckle. "Hmmm~ Thought I wouldn't." he had a light smile upon his lips, dark eyes upon her.

Ino flashes a thanks to the waitress before picking up her cup to take a sip, warming her to the bone.

His intense gaze and chuckle makes her smile behind her tea.

"You know you're a lot more outgoing than the Sasuke I know though. Is he here too?"

"Oh, there's about.. six others beside me or something?" he waved a hand dismissively. "Forgot the exact number. Two are girls. As for me being outgoing.." he gave a wink. "Thank you for the compliment~"

[cosmosic]

"S-Six...of you." Six Sasukes. Two were girls. Just what was this place?

She pauses, digesting.

"TWO GIRL SASUKES?!"

"Oh~ Finally shocked you. But yep. Two girls. One's with uh... Naji, and I think another's with a Naruto from what I heard." he gave a shrug. "Guess I won't have to worry about that Uchiha descendance after all."

He shocked her alright. Sasuke and Neji. Sasuke and Naruto. Two girl Sasukes with two guys from their world. How could those boys be okay with that?!

She grips her head, feeling a headache coming on.

"I think I need to lay down."

[konohasuperstar]

"You need a laugh, I think, at this point." and he had just the thing. "You know, my world's really different than a lot of people's. You know the Neji thatw as just mentionned? Mine is a hopeless pervert that uses his byakugan to peep." he snickered. "Now try an imagine my reaction, ahaha!"

Mentioning that Neji, the Hyuuga genius with 360 eyesight, the guy that wasn't charmed at all by her sexiness during the chunin exams, the top rookie before Sasuke, uses his byakugan to peep was not the best way to get Ino to laugh.

It's the thought that counts though.

"He what?!"

"He uses his byakugan to look at girls in the bath." he snickered. "My world looks pretty different from what everyone's got as base. Well, you have the perfect example: me. How different am I from the Sasuke you know, hmm? Have anothe example: Tenten? The one from my world couldn't possibly hit a wall if she threw a pebble. She'd poke her eye out with it or something.."

...and how do those teams even magae missions...?

More and more she's beginning to think if she was ever thrown in this Sasuke's world, she might go insane from how weird it was. It was one thing to experience new things and meet new (see: weird) people. It was another to be thrown in a world where everything you knew was wrong and opposite and different.

She takes his question about the Sasuke she knew rhetorically and her angry expression smooths out slowly into anxiousness. "But Tenten's -- Nevermind. It's completely different, you're right. Opposite, is more like it."

"Yeah.. I mean, I can't exactly fault anyone from my world for being who they are, just as I can't fault people here for being... different than I'm used to. Trying to keep an open mind and all~" he gave a warm smile. "Heh~ b'sides, I'm pretty glad to be me~" he ran a hand through his bangs, chuckling lightly. He was indeed quite comfortable with himself.

"That's a good way to think about it," her smile is equally as warm until she laughs, amused at his antics.

"I'm glad you're you, too! It's been a long time since I've been able to talk to any kind of Sasuke-kun. Even a flirty and charming one~~"

[konohasuperstar]

"Flirty and charming, hmmm?" he leaned closer, chin in hand. "Thank you very much~" he gave that purr again. "I couldn't be happier to help a lady, particularly you."

A blush accompanies her smile and she leans back to take a sip at her tea, one hand cupping the bottom and tilting it upwards and into her mouth. When she's done, she sets it down gently.

"So do you come to this place a lot?"

[konohasuperstar]

"As often as you do. It's actually my first time here." he spotted it from outside. "I'm new here too, so we have that in common~"

Bypassing his comment about having things in common-- "Then how do you know there's a bunch of Sasuke's here already?"

[konohasuperstar]

"Oh. Someone told me when I came here. My female nissan~ I met with a boy Sakura too, Sakumo He's pretty awesome~ Neesan told me I was forbidden from flirting with the girl-mes though. Pity."

[cosmosic]

Also ignoring that boy Sakura part, too. That's almost as weird as a dumb Shikamaru. It made her head hurt. "You'd flirt with girl versions of you?" her tone is very, very flat.

[konohasuperstar]

"Why wouldn't I? Any and all women needs to be justly appreciated and reminded of their existence being a boon to someone~" he paused and chuckled. "Still, I don't think the girl-mes would agree with that."
