[Open] Home at last.

She'd been away from home a lot lately and she was more than aware of that. While the kids and other adults were doing their best, they still had quite the pack of children to support, and there had been no fall back funds or reliable missions to take care of the gaps. It was improving now, but she'd had a rash of missions to take care of over the last month, and it had meant that she'd been away far more than she'd been home.

She just hoped everyone was happy to see her, given that the weather seemed to think she needed to be blown away the second she stepped foot back in the village.

In any case, she'd fought her way back to the house, changed into clean clothes, then went out for a walk since most of the house's residents weren't home. When she got back, she'd check on the ones who were, but in the meantime, she saw no issues in fetching some fresh things for dinner before settling back in.

"I think you don't need to worry about that. I'm sure that people have noticed and set up more plants."

"Ahaha~ yeah... good thing whoever grows them is far away from here, cause I think there's be a chibi that'd sneak in daily on his land.."

She laughed softly. "Have you considered asking someone here to grow them?"

"...because you really think the kid wouldn't make his home in a tent right next to the field where these get grown? Ahahah!" oh he could imagine that too.

"Well, I know that one of the Narutos that lives here happened to have once done this for his Sasuke, so I don't doubt that someone might do it for you too."

"..ah..I.. ahahah, I don't think, no." he gave a sheepish grin. "Not really plannin a relationship, m'better off just flirtin around. People're gonna get more used to that anyways." he shrugged. "...even if it's a nice thought." Following his vibrant failure, he wasn't really keen on trying seriously. Besides, it was better saved for his world... and the rebuild of his clan.

She looked sideways at him. "Don't put your life on hold for maybes baby."

"My life's not on hold. I mean, I'm still here and breathin and stuff. I just don't think many people really can... you know, be that comfortable with me." he gave a light shrug. "If it's gotta happen, it'll happen, you know...?"

"True, as long as you're not running away from any chances that present themselves then I'll be happy with that."

"I haven't... Whatever chances happened just.. didn't work out, is all..." he shook his head. "....because I was trying too hard, most likely... to be someone I wasn't."

"Always be who you are then... and it won't happen again, right?" She looked at him directly, quirking her lips. "It will work better for you too."

"Yeah. Besides, I am who I am, and that's that." he shrugged. "Things that have to happen will happen anyways. Speaking of which, my vegetables are good to go~"

She waved her hand toward the stove. "Then I don't have to spell it out for you I hope? I'd be sad if you didn't live up to your boasting."

"What boasting? I only speak facts~ Most dashing Uchiha alive~" a pause. "In my world, but hey, it's probably valid for this one, except you sure trump me~"

"Of course I do, you had to get it from somewhere, now didn't you? Now get cooking!"

"Behold my legendary cooking~" he snickered, letting the cut vegetables drop in the boiling water.

She laughed outright at that and smiled brightly. "Gladly."

"Oh~ you're beholding it? Good, good!" he grinned and prepared the pan, intending to fry some thin meat strips. "Do we have any fresh herbs? Chive or thyme or something like that? It'd be nice."

"They're over by the sink, they were part of the things I got together." She nodded that way, picking apart meat for cooking.

"Oh, goody. It'll be nice with the vegetables." a pause. "Do we want some sort of salad too?"

"We have all the parts for it, yes... yes I think that will be nice." She hummed and looked around. "After we get the bigger parts started though."

"Right~" he chuckled, getting back to that meat they were both working on, vegetables left to cook on their own. "Those things fried up will be nice~ The thinner they are, the better it gets."

"Of course! Make sure to keep the vegetarian dishes aside for the Itachis." She waved at the stove. "None of them would appreciate most of the meat."

"Hmhmm~ This is why I was going to make a salad. Not really enough vegetables. I'll make them steamed cabbage tomorrow~"

She laughed softly. "I see you've looked into the care and feeding of the local Itachi population."
