Unfortunately, it was going to be a long wait. There were days where Itachi would be up, out and about. But there were also days where he barely woke up at all, and if he did, he didn't have the energy to get out of bed. Such was life.

He didn't stir again until dawn broke through the window and Madara freed himself from his arm.

"Guess... I... fell asleep there..." he admitted with a little embarrassment as he rubbed the sand from his eyes. Had they finished running tests before that? Itachi wasn't sure.
