Now this was irritating.

She had been within sight of her apartment. In fact, she'd been able to see her bedroom window from the street below said apartment before a breeze had kicked up. Unfortunately for her, she had been under the mistaken impression that closing her eyes against the dirt stirred up in this fashion would not be to her detriment.

She was wrong.

Her rather unimpressed gaze swept around the open area she found herself in the middle of, trying to pin down anything that might look like a seal. Anything to explain -how- this had just occurred. Her search turned up nothing, instead leading to her resting her fingers on the hilt of her blade, relic that it was, to feel the hum of leashed electricity that always answered the gesture.

It was soothing, and she could use that just now. After all, she wasn't the diplomat of her team. No, that was, contrary to popular belief, actually Naruto's job. Shaking off the thought, she headed toward what looked to be shops. She was going to interrogate a local.

Now to remember not to look like she was threatening them while doing it.

"Well, I mean... the way you put it kind of sounds like he's a possession instead of a person."

"Of course he's a person. He's -my- person." She gave her a look like this should have been obvious.

"I guess..." She still didn't like it. What did her Sasuke think about her, then?! That look was starting to get pretty annoying though, and she just huffs. "Sounds like it's better that you're the one who got stuck here instead of him though, huh?"

Her eyes narrow a little then and she snorted. "No. He's going to worry. The idiot."

She turned her body some, looking around the village slowly. "But there's nothing to do about it from here."

It was starting to get genuinely hard to tell if this Sasuke actually cared for Naruto or not. Pretty annoying, either way.

"Yeah, looks that way. But, you never know! Maybe he'll show up here, too."

She stilled for a moment, and a little tension left her frame. "He might. That would be good."

She turned in place to look at the other girl directly again. "It will be strange to be away from him for longer than a few days."

"The adjustment can be pretty hard," she agrees, though truthfully, her adjustment wasn't all that hard at all. "I take it you guys are on the same team, then? You, him, and Sakura?"

She looked confused at -that-. "No... Me, him and -Hinata-." She visibly shook it off. "I haven't been without him in eight years. Who's going to make sure he eats something other than ramen if I'm not there?"

"...I bet Neji loves the fact that his cousin is on your team," she remarks, a little dryly. "Besides, maybe you've trained him well enough that he'll know to eat his vegetables."

She snorted softly. "Hardly. He only eats them if I make them. I've seen what he eats when I'm not home for whatever reason." She ran her fingers through his hair. "Bad enough I was back from the first solo mission I've had... pretty much ever, but I didn't even get all the way home before... here."

Her expression softens for a moment. Maybe Sasuke really did care for him. "Yeah, I get that. I got lucky; my whole team is here, even if Neji's... pretty upset at me still." She just shrugs and brushes past it. "So you never know!"

"If he were simply my teammate then this would..." She shook her head sharply, swallowing whatever she was going to say. "You mentioned the me you knew was male?"

Her lips quirk into a smaller smile as she glances to the other. Alright, who was she to pass judgement on whatever kind of relationship she had with Naruto?

Tenten straightens slightly when her Sasuke is mentioned and nods. "Yeah, he is."

She stared at her for a moment, then nodded crisply. "Then I can assume whatever Naruto I see, if he is not -mine-, would expect the same?"

"Probably." She lifts a shoulder in a shrug. "I mean, I don't know, just because the Naruto and Sasuke I know is a guy doesn't mean all of them are." Especially not when face-to-face with a real, breathing, female Sasuke.

She sighed softly and then shrugged, almost as though she was brushing it away. "I'll simply have to work with what this place has to offer. If nothing else I know Naruto would be Naruto so that is a truth to look forward to."

"Makes sense." She nods once, hands falling to rest on her hips again. "It's... really not that bad of a place, all things considered."

She nodded once and looked around. "And you said you live that way?" She indicated the appropriate direction.

"Mmhm. With my Sasuke," she clarifies, though really, she has to hope that the other never calls unexpectedly. She didn't want her house destroyed by another Sasuke wanting to kill her Itachi.

She looked at her for a long moment then spun to go, flipping her fingers over her shoulder in a very Kakashi wave. "I'll stop by."

"Uh... right." Wow, that was pretty annoying, too. Sure, she could see how other people might see that as cool, but being casually dismissed like that? Rude. "At least knock or something," she mutters, then goes back to what she was doing -- conveniently in the exact opposite of where Sasuke was.
