Rolling out of his bedding hadn't brought him to an unanticipated level of comfort. He'd been on his way back to the village and had been in camp with his teammates after all. No, the jarring part was the mad scramble needed to avoid taking a headlong dive over a cliff that hadn't been there when he'd gone to sleep, and it was more than enough to immediately put him on the defensive, back straight as he slowly scanned his surroundings.

No teammates, no -forest-. Where the hell was he?

He retreated once it was out and waved them to get it further from the house. "Out toward the trees. We can get it open with wind and use a hose to blast it out and see if it's salvageable."

They all grumbled but did it, taking it as far away as he could and then putting it down, racing back towards the house. "I am nowhere near that thing," he muttered as he stood next to Orochimaru, the bunshins nodding.

He stared upward for a moment and ran through a couple seals before throwing his hand out, the hard wind enough to knock the thing open. "Right... now to find a hose. unless you know water techniques? The few I know would destroy it."

He shook his head:"No, I don't know water techniques." He frowned, looking around:"Where can we find hose, dattebayo?"

He resisted the urge to swat at him. "Where would -you- keep a hose?"

"How should I know? I live in apartment! I never needed one, 'tebbayo!"

He sighed and muttered something under his breath before heading for the house. "Fine, -I'll- find a hose, you look for a water spigot."

"Allright!" He dashes off into the kitchen, turning the spigot there. There was a loud noise and he frowned at it before water burst out of it, splashing him all over.

"GAHHH! PFF--!!!" He ducked, all drenched. "Found.. one. GAH! Better make that hose long, tebbayo!"

He stared at him, then sighed. "Might as well practice your wind and dry out while I search."

He got up and turned off the water, muttering under his breath. Sneaky faucets, spraying him all over. He takes off the jacket and his hitai ate, ruffling his hair to dry it out.

He shook his head and resumed his search, muttering unfavorable things under his breath. "At least the water works. Do the lights?"

He frowned and he was just about to press the switch when he jumped away. "Ooooooh NO! I ain't pressing that, dattebayo!" What if electricity kills him!?

"Oh for the... Look for the hose." He moved inside and pointed him out the door.

He grumbled under his breath and nodded, stomping outside, looking for a stupid hose.

He sighed, aggravated, but just went about making sure that nothing inside the house was going to eat them. They could sort out the legal details later.
