Getting settled

This village was.... interesting. Not in a bad way, exactly, even though it didn't look like home, but this place was better than the last one he'd found himself in. He'd claimed a house a bit up the cliff face, where he could look out over the village, and he was sure eventually he wouldn't be the only inhabitant.

After all, this place seemed as baffling as the last. But, he was sure, he'd still get found by the ones who mattered eventually.

Thus, he settled himself under a tree, back leaned against it, as he nibbled some local dango.

"Perhaps we should arrange a vacation more often... Though, let's wait until the boys are asleep to truly enjoy each other's company... and I promise not to use Tsukuyomi, even if it does make things much easier..." he added after a long pause. "If I did, I don't think Sasuke would ever let me hear the end of it."

He leaned into the Hokage, but it was more for comfort than affection.

"... I... hardly have the stamina for that anymore... You know that." he lowered his gaze. There was embarrassment and shame in his voice. "I... I want to give you so much more. Something... worthy of you."

"I know. I'm selfish. Utterly and completely selfish." He slid his hands, lacing his fingers through his partner's hair as he cradled his jaw in his hands.
