[Open] Finally, good news.

When she'd gotten home the other night it had been to the horrible news that her eldest Itachi had had a complete meltdown and she hadn't been there to help. Unfortunately, she simply didn't have the ability to be home all at once, but it did put it in her mind that her and Kushina needed to have a talk if the woman intended to go around breaking her babies.

She was hardly the only one she needed to speak to though, and she heaved an agitated sigh, trying to sort out what to do.

"I missed you too. Have you been keeping an eye on everyone for me?"

"Went t'see niisan as much as I could, and I played a great game with older-Naruto, and then smallest-Naruto taught me awesome things!" he gestured wildly. He sure sounded like he had loads of fun. "Oh, and I can do the kuchiyose!"

"...Can you now. And what do you summon?"

"Uh-huh! Niisan's showed me, 'xcept they're not all likin me yet... but I can summon crows~" oh did he sound proud!

She was quiet for a beat. "I see. Hm. Well, that's fine."

"...don't be mad with niisan for showin me" he pleaded, large dark eyes set on her.

"I know he's worried he doesn't have much time but... He needs to take better care. I don't want you in a bed right beside him because you burned yourself dry."

He felt his heart sink at that, shuddering. "He... he's been tellin me to be careful. All the time... Niisan wants me healthy, kaasan. He wouldn't show me anything he knows I can't do." he whimpered. "....an m'not overusin any chakra either. I swear."

She cuddled him close with a croon. "Shhh, I wasn't trying to upset you."

"..sorry.. s'just.. I really didn' wanna do anythin bad" he murmured.

"I know. It's okay. I'm not mad."

"Un~ Okay!" he nodded, then from his vantage point... "Oh~ tomatoes!"

"You boys have no idea how hard those were to get during winter."

"You're the best mom ever!" he hugged her.

She stilled, then hugged him tightly. "Thank you baby."

He let out a pleased high-pitched hum, nuzzling against her. "Mom hugs are the best ever, too~" he chirped.

She laughed and twirled in a circle. "If you say so it must be true!"

"eheheh~ sure is!" he nodded, radiating happiness. "M'sure I ain't wrong on that!"

"Well, no need for me to keep them in reserve now is there?"

"You mean you were?" he gave a light giggle. "Juss fer me?"

"Of course! Because you're adorable."

"Kaa-san!" he gave a happy squeal and hugged her with all his little might! "M'glad m'here.. with kaasan, and all my niisans and everyone else!" really, he was overjoyed even more every day. "Speakin' of! I learned a new katon jutsu from sorta-older-me! Think dad's gonna be impressed if I show'im!?"

"I think your dad is hard to impress, but I think he'll be proud of you anyway."

He gave a light laugh at that. "Right~ I'll just do my best, like I,m always doin."
