Only Sasuke could bring her to such a point, though as soon as the water was done, she was on her feet with practiced ease to finish the preparations for it. Much to talk about, indeed... logistics would be important, after all. In spite of her quick answer, there was still much to discuss.
After all, would her home be suited for a family? Big enough? She flushed and leaned her hands briefly against the counter as she thought about it before returning to the table, tea cups in hand.
He had no doubt that he could make everything a reality. He was quite dedicated and hard-working when he had to. This was a side not many had seen, since he had no need of it in this so-peaceful village. He couldn't stop smiling, eating slowly. The logistics would be a bit of a bump, but would adapt.
He gave a nod of thanks as the cup of tea was laid out in front of him.
He finished the curry and exhaled a pleased sigh. "Ah~ Thank you for the food~" he claimed a sip of tea before taking his plate to the sink, rinsing it and letting it sit there to be washed after they were done, returning to the table to drink more tea. "I think first, we'll need to paint a large Uchiha emblem on the whole wall of the living room~" his tone did indicate he was joking. really, how else should he start this off?
"...considering it's our home though, I would never do anything without your approval~"
She was content to finish the rest of the meal in comfortable silence, wrapped up in her own thoughts. When Sasuke stood, it almost startled her from her own meal, leaving her finishing quickly and moving to mimic the motions from before.
The proposal of the Uchiha crest left her giving him another one of her signature unamused looks, and she only rolled her eyes without acknowledging it. Instead, she only moved to take her teacup and kneel beside him, leaning to rest her head gently against his shoulder.
Even though he proposed it, he had no pre-made plan, but he knew it would still be done. "I did say 'move in', but if you don't feel comfortable with the idea yet, I can sleep in the living room." after all, he didn't want to rush her in any way. He never had, so far, done any such thing. "I do know I'll be leaving the bed and furniture home, since they weren't mine to start with. I only have a few trinkets and changes of clothes."
He turned into her gently, to nuzzle her hair. "I'll probably start on the roof as soon as I can." maybe he could fix it before the next rainstorm too.
She only nodded against his shoulder, keeping her head there and leaving her own tea untouched, lest she need to lift her head. A breath as she felt her cheeks starting to flush, then she let her fingers brush against his free hand, twining with his own.
"I... would not mind. If you were to -- share my bed," she murmured, swallowing hard with the admission and glancing up to him. "Unless you object..."
"If you stated you don't mind... So it will be." the hand that held his cup, which he had yet to take another sip from, went up so he could stroke her cheek delicately. "Will we need any extra furniture?" he knew she might have a dresser for her clothes, but he may need one if hers wasn't roomy enough. "Since I have my job at the flower shop, I do have a steady income." she had an even steadier one with her own.
Neji might also have had a few customers sent by him. He had reffered her to a few men and women of the village that came to the shop and seemed to be somewhat tense. He did like when people came in couples or with friends, since he could listen in to conversations. Body language did help too.
"If you want a new futon, or a proper bed, we can get one."
"I do not mind the one I have now." It was large enough for two people to fit snugly, and in truth, the only time she had slept in an actual bed instead of a futon on the floor were when she had the fortune of being able to stay in an inn instead of outside for a mission. She preferred the more traditional bed on the floor.
"In one of the rooms, there is a spare dresser. Some of the drawers tend to stick closed, but I'm certain we can repair them to full function." She relaxed more at the brush of his hand over her cheek and let her eyes fall closed. She had noticed how some of her customers had been referred from the flower shop and truly did appreciate it. "Unless... you do not mind the traditional futon, do you? I am not certain how the Uchiha had preferred..."
"Whatever you have is fine." there was no sense in changing it, and so it would be. "Since the dresser's all set... do we want to make plans for any of the rooms? Maybe a study?" one of the rooms, without a doubt would certainly be for their future progeny. "Once the leaks are all fixed, we can repaint if you want... and add whatever plants or anything you want for decoration." of course he had no qualms about leaving things bare, save fora few scrolls. Their families did share minimalism, despite Sasuke's flashiness.
"A study could be useful, perhaps," she agreed, keeping her head gently resting against his shoulder as she let herself picture the layout of her house. "As well as double for storage, should we need it. The main area I would prefer to leave as bare as possible to use as an indoor training space. Plants... would be very nice, yes."
Small things, simple things, that was the way she preferred her home to be. And it was indeed her home. The idea of paint left her humming softly as she considered it. "I rather like the walls as plain wood."
"Hmm~ plain wood it is~" he purred, shifting slightly to lay a gentle kiss upon her forehead. "It does look nice, and even if some of the walls have gotten somewhat flooded from rain, we can rest assured it'll dry." which was why he would make repairing the roof his priority. Contrary to what many may think, he was not scared of this type of work.
"Your room has a balcony... think we can make ourselves a nice outdoor garden to look at and lounge in?" although he could already picture kids playing in the white sand or the small lake... he wouldn't mind teaching them not to.
Her eyes opened as she felt him shift, and she couldn't help but smile at the gesture. Even if her forehead were still covered by her hitai-ate, it was still sweet to receive.
"Those walls that have suffered water damage, we can repair, I believe," she added, nestling in more closely as she pictured it. A garden would undoubtedly be maintenance, but... she had no doubt that she would enjoy such a thing. "Something of that nature would be ideal for meditation," her favorite hobby, and something that would only be made all the more enjoyable by that, "And there is, of course, the training area out back."
That is where she would encourage the children to play, rather than in what she was picturing as a small garden. A beat, then she tilted her head and lightly kissed his ear. "Perhaps we may see about ensuring the display of the Uchiha crest."
"Repair walls, right. We'll do that too~" he chuckled lightly. "We'll make this the best home there is to be... just for us."
He had gotten the idea of a garden because, well, this was a traditional feature, and quite soothing too. He had no doubts she would approve. "There are training areas scattered all over, it's actually pretty nice, this village~" he mused.
He gave a purr and nuzzled into her at that kiss. "Yes, yes.. we might see, but... it's two of us... together." Not just one, as the prominent showing of his clan's emblem might send as message. "We should... be equals." even though his goal was his clan's revival, he was finding it hard to claim every space he could. After all, there was unity through minor sacrifices as well, to make for a more solid link.
A pause before she corrected quietly, murmuring in his ear, "Not only for us." There would be children to share it with, eventually, too. Children who would be their responsibility, and her choice. She kissed his ear again and smiled, exhaling gently before drawing back and finally taking her tea in both hands for a sip.
"I suppose the symbol of my clan shall be beside it then, hm?" Nothing ostentatious, something subtle, but easily seen. That was the Hyuuga way, after all.
He claimed a breath, a pleasant shiver going through his spine at those murmured words. Never would he have imagined, even in his widest dreams, someone so perfect... to be his.
"Neji.." the way he said her name, voice thick with emotion, dark eyes wavering as he stared... and then kissed her cheek before nuzzling the crook of her neck. "I love you."
She had to set her tea down to free her hands, shifting to hold him in against her and smile against his hair. Not words she ever expected to hear in this context, nothing she would have even permitted herself to imagine. An open display of spoken affection...?
"I love you, as well," she answered softly, pressing her lips against his hair. "I can only hope... to be as fine a mother as you will be a father."
He was happy. So happy.... "Neji... I don't doubt... you will." he could actually feel tears stinging at his eyes, happiness simply choosing this way to overflow. "I'll try ... not to spoil them too rotten... just so you don't have to scold us.. that hard." and oh, could he see that happening, somehow.
"..although.. I might just spoil you more..." he gave a gentle squeeze, burying himself into her. "Not a good example."
"No spoiling? Hey, no fun~" he purred, although really, he hardly minded trying not to spoil anyone. Okay , it would be hard, but he really -would- try. "....not even a little?" he inquired in a pleading tone, free hand reaching to his neck to feel the tiny, strong chain links along it....
It felt so, so warm... He knew she -would- be a good mother because of that. She would be strict, but no less loving.
"No." Though her tone remained firm, a quick glance toward her eyes would reveal that yes, perhaps a little spoiling would be permitted, in small doses. Only when the child had earned it, of course.
"Especially not directed toward me." With that, she leaned down to capture his lips in a brief, hard kiss, lips curving into a small smile.
He gave a light hum of surprise at that, but soon joined into the kiss, shifting to accomodate her, a finger still hooked into his necklace as his hand stroked her neck. That kiss... oh it was short but superbly intense.
"I have.... other ways to spoil you..." he stroked her cheek before reclaiming her lips, showing her just what he meant, hand leaving his necklace and its location to travel down her side and rest against a hip, tongue sneaking into her mouth to seek out those pleasurable zones..
She shivered lightly at the press of his hand against her hip, the softest of pleased moans escaping into the kiss as she returned it, letting her tongue slide against his as she pressed closer. Little displays of affection in the most inappropriate places... she'd gotten used to them, here in this place.
And really, she couldn't quite bring herself to protest this kind of spoiling, not just yet.
Inappropriate? He hardly minded. After all, they were in their home. He could do as he wished, although he knew he should show restraint once they would have a little one running about. They would probably be too busy running after said little one any way.
After a few more seconds, perhaps a full minute, he drew back, dark eyes staring into whites.
Inappropriate, to show such affection at the dinner table! Though still, she didn't protest, instead only pressing in closer and pursuing the kiss until he drew back. Her breath came in soft pants as her lips curved into another smile.
She leaned in and just brushed her lips against his before drawing back completely. "Not at the table, Sasuke..."
"...ah... sorry about that~" he nuzzled. "You were vastly irresistible, my dear." he drew away after that, and untangled an arm to sip some tea. "I... will have to learn a few things, hmm?" being housebroken, or sort of!
"..but yes, yes... house plans. Perhaps I will look into the roof tomorrow."
She was too disciplined to let out an audible sound of disappointment that he returned to the business at hand instead of merely moving away from the table, but she did return her attention to his words.
"We can look into the roof. I do not need to attend my job tomorrow, so I may accompany you."
She took another delicate sip of her tea before leaning in close to his ear to murmur, "I intend to change into my yukata, if we have nowhere else to be tonight." She accompanied her words with a quick nip to the shell of his ear before pushing herself to her feet and heading toward her bedroom to change.
