It was raining. Hard, irritating rain that at the very least wasn't cold... but also seemed to have no discernible source. Staring upwards in pure irritation, he narrowed his eyes, once again failing to see even a single cloud in the sky.

He didn't bother going back to change, as he'd already done so once, only to quickly find himself in a repeat deluge the second he left his home again. No, instead he stalked toward the village, utterly irritated with the bizarre weather of this place and the fact that it had decided that he desperately needed to experience the weather of a country he was happy to leave less than a year before, very largely in part because of this.

Everything was going quite amazingly fine. While others went outside and seemed to struggle with ice, sleet, nasty winds, snow and all manners of strange weather, it seemed he had been gifted with a light breeze that merely sent his clothes and hair ever-fluttering gently.

Yes, he certainly was favored by the gods, to have such a perfect weather and such a perfect day gracing him!

Oh, but what was this.. or rather, who?

The figure within the cloud of rain seemed vaguely familiar, and so he ambled over. "Once he was closer, he... rather was unable to determine who that soaked, drowned person was, but he gave a cheerful salute anyway. "Yo~"

That was... unusual from any of the Sasukes. Aside from the tiny suicidal one anyway. That one he suspected was trying to get himself maimed in some way. In any case, it made him cautious to be greeted so cordially after the levels of hostility he'd started to become used to.

"Hello."

"Oh, now I see!" Sasuke gave a firmer salute. "Oro-sannin, nice seein' you here!" a pause, a brief study. "And that's an earlier version~ You sure were dashing in your prime~" he gave a thumbs up. He could see he was slightly on guard, but if -he- was the one being followed by a rain cloud, he might just feel somewhat stressed out too. "Wasn't aware you were in this village here, but you probably know my name thanks to the... seven other versions of me that are around~" he waved a dismissive hand.

"To say nothing of hearing my crimes shouted at me by the various Narutos that I've had the misfortune to cross paths with, yes. Are things... different where you're from then?"

"Narutos? Again? These guys sure are everywhere..." not that he had met any himself so far. "Good thing I didn't come across any of em then...?" he stretched his arms above his head. "As for things being different, oh... from what I've heard so far? Take eeeeeeverything you know, turn it around 180 degrees and ta-daaaah~" a pause.

"You've got me and my world~"

"Considering the shockingly small amount people are willing to tell me I have a great deal of speculation to work with and little else. I am, after all, from well before your birth."

"No one tells you anything? oh. Well then~" he took out a water bottle out of seemingly nowhere. This may be long.

"Things are Different where I'm from! I come from the most amazingly awesome timelines or so I was led to think one of the top best. Whereas my other selves apparently ended up as psychotic defecting murderers and what-have-you, the last, greatest and most dashing Uchiha Sasuke here, has not. You can at least imagine how different I might be from this."

Now, onto other people. "Where I am from, our heroes are Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno! The Fourth and his wife saved us from the Nine-Tails, and our village earned peace at last!" Peace hardly meant being idle, but of course there still were missions, just.. no threat to Konoha.

He was already not impressed, but he simply crossed his arms and leaned forward a bit. "Continue."

How can you not be impressed! Really.. He took a drink of water and went on. "They actually sealed the kyuubi inside Menma, who's my best buddy. Apparently he's the Naruto everywhere else. He's actually a great guy, and uh... he wouldn't hate you considering we're all from the same village, Orochi-sannin~" he promised.

"You're actually a great guy too, you know? Our Hokage and you can do some scary nifty medical stuff. You're most often away doing your own things god-knows-where, but you're out when it counts!"

His eyebrows arched, just a bit, at this information. "I'm still in the village in your version of things?"

"Huh-huh! I mean... that's kinda news to you, but it's normal to me." a grin. "Good news?"

"I never had any plans to leave the village without being forced out, so this is perfectly acceptable to me as an alternative variation of the situation."

"Same here~ I wouldn't leave Konoha and deprive our village of the last and greatest Uchiha on its soil~" yes, he certainly had an ego.

He stared at him for a long moment at that. "Do tell me what causes that particular change, hmm?"

"Change?" a blink. "Oh, because I'm not a rampaging ball of anger and whatnot? Well.." he briefly recounted how his brother gave him the task of rebuilding the clan after he decimated it with his own hand.

"Essentially, it's up to me to make the Uchiha into the greatest of clans! Oh I'll sure bring back the pride from the founding days~" yes, this made him current clan head in his world. Be afraid.

That got him to cant his head to the side, and Orochimaru finally hummed a soft noise of interest. "I see."

"Uh-huh! That's what makes me the greatest and most awesome of those with my name~ Oh, and I trump them all in fashion too." he purred "But yep, that here's my plan! ...whenever I go back to my world, that is."

"You seem to be quite devoted to your ideal then." He stared him down for a long moment, then moved to brush past him, curious if the rain would affect anyone else. "I'm going to the market if you wish to continue speaking."

"I do have an important mission~" reviving his clan would be done, indeed.

Someone was willing to hear him out and interested? Of course he would follow! "Sure, I'll--" whoa wait what was this rain doing coming closer!? Eyes widened, and he thought of attempting a minor earth jutsu, but--- no.

"...I'll need to change out of this.." good reason to head to the markets. "How did THAT even happen?" a drenched Sasuke... was a funny-looking Sasuke, because for about three seconds, his soaked hair would stay down. Never more than that. "Can't have too many changes of clothes, so I might just have business there too, and we can talk. And be underwater buddies.."

There was something rather satisfying about not being the only drenched person walking down the street, and he kept going, taking his rain bubble with him. "Now you ere saying?"

"Something about being the greatest and most awesome... even if i look like a drowned rat right now." he spluttered.

"Aside from that, I was pointing out we were both equally devoted to Konoha where I am from." he kept wring his hair uselessly now and then.

"You'll dry later I'm sure." He rolled a shoulder in a careless shrug and looked over at him. "Konoha... is my home, this I am willing to admit."

He felt a sudden chill as the rain moved back away and he was left with-- okay that breeze was BAD because he felt he was freezing.

...and so he quickly stepped to walk side-by-side with Orochimaru. "...think being soaked till we're inside is better... wind and water don't mix." he still had goosebumps on his arms. "B-but yea, it's home..."

A small smirk touched his lips as he gave a soft laugh at the reaction. "You prefer the rain do you?"

"After freezing, I sure do." a pause. "...and at least this rain isn't cold, just..uh.. wet."
