Now this was irritating.

She had been within sight of her apartment. In fact, she'd been able to see her bedroom window from the street below said apartment before a breeze had kicked up. Unfortunately for her, she had been under the mistaken impression that closing her eyes against the dirt stirred up in this fashion would not be to her detriment.

She was wrong.

Her rather unimpressed gaze swept around the open area she found herself in the middle of, trying to pin down anything that might look like a seal. Anything to explain -how- this had just occurred. Her search turned up nothing, instead leading to her resting her fingers on the hilt of her blade, relic that it was, to feel the hum of leashed electricity that always answered the gesture.

It was soothing, and she could use that just now. After all, she wasn't the diplomat of her team. No, that was, contrary to popular belief, actually Naruto's job. Shaking off the thought, she headed toward what looked to be shops. She was going to interrogate a local.

Now to remember not to look like she was threatening them while doing it.

Her cheeks flush lightly, but she just nods in response. Even if this Sasuke wasn't a missing-nin, there was no way to no what her relationship with Itachi was. Best to leave it at just Sasuke for now. "I guess, it's just..." she laughs again. "I'm so used to Naruto and Sasuke not getting along very well."

She snorted and hitched a shoulder up. "Someone has to beat the stupid out of him, that just happens to be me."

She nods again, bringing a hand to her lips to hide a smile. "He's lucky, then, your Naruto." A pause, then she lets her hand fall, expression going a little more serious. "But... I'm not sure if he's here. This place can be... pretty selective. I'm sorry."

"Of course he's lucky." She dismissed the comment as obvious, though the rest made her frown slightly. "...So my idiot is most likely not here? That's going to be... irritating."

"Y-yeah. Sorry." Her lips twitch, understanding how difficult it can be without someone familiar around. "I'll help you however I can, but... yeah."

She blinked at her, then hummed. "I'll be sure to spar with you at some point then." She looked her over, then shook her head. "Maybe see who else I know."

"I would like that." A smile quirks her lips then -- it seemed as though she would have no shortage of Uchiha sparring partners. Eternally optimistic, she shrugs and offers another smile. "Yeah, maybe."

Her attention is drawn once again to the unmarked forehead protector. Leave it to a girl Sasuke to be smarter than a male one about leaving the village. Her eyes move up, and she pauses, unable to stop herself from pointing to her wrist. "What's that?"

She blinked, following the gesture with her eyes before she gave a noncommittal hum. "Tracking seal with bonuses."

"Tracking seal? What for?"

She stared at her like she was an idiot. "For me."

Shaking it off as a gender thing, she pulled the sleeve up so the girl could look at it better. "There was an issue shortly after we left with Jiraiya, and with the entire creepy pervert issue, we decided it was safer. Naruto is being stubborn about teaching me how to make one that matches on him though."

She just blinks and shakes her head, one hand falling to her hip as she shifts her weight. This girl's arrogance was starting to irk her, a little. With Sasuke she'd grown to expect it, after what he'd been through, but not with some girl version who was apparently engaged to Naruto and hardly a missing-nin at all. "You've lost me. You mean Jiraiya-sama is the creepy pervert? Or are you talking about Orochimaru?"

"Jiraiya is just an annoying pervert. He's useful though. I meant Orochimaru. The man goes around biting thirteen year olds. Or trying to. Who -does- that?" She looked vaguely disgusted and shook her head, dropping her hand back to her side.

"Orochimaru..." Now the tracking seal makes a little more sense. Reflexively, she glances to the other's shoulder to see if she can spot that Cursed Seal. "Do you mind if I ask what happened?" She points to the other's hitai-ate. "Things turned out different for you than my own, it seems."

"Happened -when- exactly?" She looked to the Hitai-ate, then back to her, clearly waiting for something a little more descriptive.

"With Orochimaru, of course!" That was the most important thing, here! Tenten returns the look suggesting that the other girl was an idiot, inwardly pleased at being able to do so.

"He tried to bite me, missed when Hinata yanked me out of the way, we ran away, and he later attacked the village. I've heard rumors about him since, but I doubt you're interested in that."

"So he missed..." She brings a hand to her own face, touching her fingers there before pulling them back, not bothering to hide her relief. "I... that explains a lot, thanks."

She narrowed her eyes a little, then shrugged. "Sure."

This felt awkward, talking to a female Sasuke. It takes a moment before she resumes the conversation, taking a different note. "So, uh... if you ever want to spar with me, I live up there." She turns and points toward the house on the cliff she shared with both Sasuke and Itachi. "You'll be able to find somewhere to live no problem around here. I heard lots of places don't even make you pay rent."

She just looked at her for a long moment before humming lowly, waiting for her to add more before finally nodding once. "I'll remember that."

"Great. And, uh... sorry for that." She gestures to the other's cheek a little awkwardly before resting her hand on her hip again. "What else would you like to know?"

"I'm sure I'll think of something eventually." She hitched up a shoulder in a dismissive shrug. "People do things like that all the time, it's fine."

"Really?" Tenten blinks a moment, then snorts through her nose. Well, Number One Rookie Uchiha Sasuke had been popular with the girls in his class, or so she'd heard. It only made sense for a female to be similar. "That... must be pretty annoying."

She shrugged. "It's mainly Ino, honestly. Kiba tends to not be as grabby."

Her nose wrinkles in distaste. "I'd break their fingers." Really, before her two Uchiha, romance had been one of the furthest things from her mind.
