Preparing for the festival.

He had a neat pile next to him on the counter, black and silver leather rabbit god mask at the very top. It was a bit morbid, the story of that, but it seemed like everything about this festival was morbid, so that was actually appropriate, in a way. He had the pale off white and frost blue kimono pulled most of the way up his shoulders, and he turned carefully one way, then the other as he examined himself in the mirror.

The reason? He was playing around with Oiroke, but he was doing it behind a closed door in the bathroom, and he sincerely hoped no one came to see what was taking him so long. He was just... curious. After all, he'd never spent much time in the shape and he had a memory of doing so.

Still, did it really change so little about his appearance?

He moved forward, circling her once before quickly running through the signs to do a comparison. "Looks like you have it." Yep, their relative heights seemed to be the same.

She kind of stays still, just staring at herself before experimentally giving herself a poke, just to see. "W-weird... I don't think my oiroke is all that sexy though, did I do it wrong? I thought it was supposed to be like, magically pretty."

"I think you look just fine." He came back to stand in front of her, running a finger down her chest, feeling how she set up her musculature. Perfectly appealing, as you always are."

It feels different, less sensitive to have his finger in such a place, and she's not sure if she likes it. "It'd make training easier, since I wouldn't have to wrap anything," she murmurs, hand going to her throat now that her voice sounds huskier. "I feel pretty ridiculous though."

He hummed and flashed a playful smile at her before running his palms down chest and belly. "Your center of balance shifted though, that would make a difference to practice."

This time she squirms under his hands and flashes him an unamused look. "I think I'd be able to compensate," she huffs, still fingering her throat and to feel and listen to the differences, then flick a hand through the bangs over her eye. "I like the hair though."

"It looks like it's still your hair, just done differently." He rested his hands over her hips, letting her feel the difference. "And I didn't believe you couldn't compensate Tenten."

She shakes her head and flicks them again. "Bangs are longer." When his hands go down that low, something twitches, and she squirms again. "I don't think I like it."

He looks to her face at the squirm and skates a hand sideways to brush over her changed groin. "So everything works properly then. I thought so but I wasn't sure if it worked the other way."

A breathless, surprised sound escapes her lips then as she feels herself responding to his touch, and her cheeks flush another dark red. "H-how do you undo it?"

He gave a last pet of his fingers before bringing his hands up to do so. "Just like that."

She shudders under his touch, but as soon as he shows the sign, she mimics it, immediately releasing it to return to normal, though the flush doesn't fade at all. "Y-yeah, I don't... I don't think I like it very much," she manages, more than a little breathlessly.

He watched her for a moment, then sighed and turned to sort through his clothing. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

She immediately follows the turn, noting with more than a little relief that her clothes are back, and wraps her arms around his waist to press a kiss to his shoulder. "N-no, it's fine, it's just... something like that would take a little getting used to, you know?"

"I didn't really give you any time to do so." His tone was firm, and he finally fished out his bottom layer attire. "I was just curious."

"Itachi-sama." Her own voice is firm as she keeps a hand on him, shifting around to face him and place both hands on his cheeks. "It's fine, okay?" With that, she leans up to brush a kiss over his lips and poke his chest.

He lifted his hand with the material out to the side and quirked his lips. "Very well."

She nods and brushes another kiss near his jaw before stepping back, lips curving into another grin. "Are you sure you don't want to show Sasuke how pretty you can be~?"

He flushed and shook his head. "Not... not yet. Maybe in a few weeks or months."

She hums. "If you say so~" She gives him a glance and a smile, brushing past him to pick up the mask. "How come this one?"

"As it was explained to me, that's the mask of a death bringing Rabbit." He ran his fingertip over one. "It's pretty though."

[bunsofsteel]

"A death-bringing rabbit? Sounds like something Lee would want to adopt." She snorts and fingers the material of the mask with another thoughtful hum. "I got one like a dragon~"

"It was this or a unicorn... and this didn't have any parts sticking out irritatingly far."

She laughs and holds the mask up to her face, blinking innocently at him through it. "What do you think, Itachi-sama?"

He studied her for a moment. "Lovely."
