Naruto-kun had been in Michi no Sato for a few days now, and while after their first talk they'd shared many more, it still felt awkward and painful to be around him.

No matter that he'd said, and she understood, that he needed time to adjust to being away from the fighting and other things that had occurred back home, her heart was still heavy.

She didn't know how to talk to anyone about it. Would it be proper? Who would understand? Could she do it?

Lost in thought, she sat down in the dojo of Mikoto-san's house with the intent to meditate and clear her head, but it wasn't really working after an hour.

"Um..." She had a hand raised to knock when he turned, backpack already shouldered and clearly dressed for the weather outside. "I have an extra cloak, I don't want to have to carry it around while I figure out where I'm going, so... Here. You're about my size." She offered it, trying for a smile.

"... Are you sure about leaving?" He just looked at her, not reaching out for the cloak and waiting for an answer.

"...Yeah." Even if it'd be failing her mission from Hokage-sama, even if it meant going to find her own place and losing the respect of everyone in this house... "Mostly..."

"... Mom would welcome you if you changed your mind," He nodded, finally taking the cloak and pulling it onto the bed.

"I can't stay with her around, not unless Hokage-sama... not unless he asks me to." A beat, then she lunged forward to give him a quick hug and a small, sad smile. "I'll see you around though, probably."
