Naruto-kun had been in Michi no Sato for a few days now, and while after their first talk they'd shared many more, it still felt awkward and painful to be around him.

No matter that he'd said, and she understood, that he needed time to adjust to being away from the fighting and other things that had occurred back home, her heart was still heavy.

She didn't know how to talk to anyone about it. Would it be proper? Who would understand? Could she do it?

Lost in thought, she sat down in the dojo of Mikoto-san's house with the intent to meditate and clear her head, but it wasn't really working after an hour.

"Huh? How do I get sick offa things that taste good?" he asked, wide eyes blinking over to Hinata, before staring towards Ino. "..messy? Huh?" Great, what did he do again?

"If you eat too many, your stomach will get rumbly and then you will throw it all up. Sometimes, it's wisest to stop at just one."

She shook her head. "They don't taste as good the second time Sas-kun."

"...stomach getting rumbly..." dark eyes drifted to the tomato he'd been eating, then he gave a light sigh. "Okay." he still kept it in his hands though. "Can I... finish it later?" he asked, looking towards Ino.

Hinata hid a smile behind her hand. Really, Sasuke-kun was just so adorable sometimes.

"Just no more after that one okay? You need something else on your stomach or it won't be any good."

"Somethin else? Whyzzat?" he asked, claiming another bite since well, she said he could finish that one and he never said how much 'later' later was. "Tomatoes -are- good..." he argued once he'd gulped his mouthful. "You mean stuff like rice or meat?"

"Exactly, Sasuke-kun. Why don't I take you back home and we can visit Ino-san another day?" She turned to her friend. "U-unless you'd like to come back with us? I-I don't think Mikoto-san would mind another for dinner with the rate new guests keep appearing. At least, that is what I gathered from her."

She laughed softly and shook her head. "No, I'm too late to open the shop today as is. You two head home." She kissed Sasuke on the head. "And you, handsome sir, can even take the basket with you, but don't eat anymore until you've had dinner, okay? And only if your mom says its okay."

The boy gave a light blush along with a smile and gave her cheek a peck, small hands gripping the basket before he slid off the counter. "Thanks Ino-neesan! I promise m'gonna ask mom."

Hinata gave the other girl a bow as she took Sasuke's free hand. "It was very nice to see you once again, Ino-san. Please, continue to take care of me."

"Of course." She smiled at them both and walked them to the door. "See you soon!"

"Thanks for the tomatoes, Ino-neesan!" the boy would have waved but both his hands were busy. One on the basket, and one for Hinata. "See you soon!" he sent her a beaming smile instead!

It was with a much lighter heart that Hinata and Sasuke-kun returned home.
