She'd only walked out of her rooms and ended up in some strange village. It was most decidedly not the home of the Kazekage, where she had been just two seconds before.

Temari was already tired. She'd just spent time watching over Kankurou after he'd been poisoned and then she'd gone to retrieve Gaara and bring him back to Sunagakure. She just wanted to sleep. Surely the fates weren't that cruel, where they? At least she had her tessen with her.

With an annoyed sigh, she started walking into the village proper, determined to find out what was going on and how she could go the hell home!

Besides, Hinata's blush would be more amusing than Shikamaru's boring response about how Naruto was on a genin. Which reminded her....

"Have you even managed to get to chunin or jounin yet?"

"Che!" he linked his arms behind his head and pouted. "Who cares about rank? It totally doesn't even matter!"

She patted his head again. "It's okay. You're so stupidly strong that I'm sure you'll be the first Hokage who was only technically a genin when they were appointed that."

"..uh.. yaknow, I can't tell if that's good or bad for history, but yeah, if I gotta do it, I will!" and then everyone will be slightly confused but still acknowledge him. "I'm gonna be the best Hokage ever too~" then again, he was pretty sure maybe that might have been his dad...

She cocked her head to the side. "Hm, that I don't doubt, Naruto. And then, I can tell everyone that I'm the older sister of two of the strongest leaders of the Elemental Nations." She gave him a slightly vicious smile. "And no one would every try to push me."

"...uuh.. not sure anyone's tryin to push you regardless." he coughed. She could get so scary!

She was amused by his reaction. "No one's that stupid, yeah, I guess."

No, even he wasn't that stupid... nu-huh! "y-yea... they'd end up in th'moutain or somethin if they did.."

She laughed at his reaction. "Probably. More than likely, you're right. And even though Gaara's not touchy-feely by any stretch of the word, he's finally realized that at least Kankurou and I are important. Well, and the rest of Suna, too."

"There'd be some dude-shaped hole through the mountain for sure." he shook his head. "As for Gaara.. he really did turn out into a great guy." he remembered when he first heard about him being Kazekage. "...after I smacked him a good one~"

"Makes me wonder if all jinchuriki are as stubborn as you and Gaara..."

"Ehehe~ Who knows~" he linked his hands behind his head, always with his silly but endearing grin. "Maybe it,s just the best way to deal~"

She forgot that he sometimes was smarter than that stupid expression he wore let her think. "Maybe..."

She sighed, knowing that it couldn't stay this pleasant for much longer. "Yeah, well, why don't you say hi to that cute girlfriend of yours for me. I expect you to come see me soon, yeah?" She thought about hugging him, but discarded it. They weren't that close yet.

Indeed. He could make himself look pretty dumb, but he was used to fooling people all the time!

"We'll bring.. uh.. tea, yeah? man, I don't lots about those things.." he knows more about ramen than tea.

"Yeah, well, I bet Hinata-chan does, so you're in good hands," Temari said before patting him on the head a final time and hopping onto the roof of the nearest building. "Take care, Naruto-kun. See ya later~!"
