The "New" House

She stared up at her house in satisfaction. Yes, it was falling apart. Yes, it was huge. But, well, if there were different time points of her babies running around, she needed to be prepared didn't she? Why, she might end up with a huge collection of her children instead of just two, and she doubted either boy would be willing to just share their room with some other them.

So. Big house.

Her eyes followed a shingle as a hard breeze sent it careening to the ground.


That needs some work.

Oh well, at least she already had some helpers!

"You mean the lady with the big me I saw the other day? I didn't talk to her though." He shook his head firmly and huffed. "I think he should try someone else. She's pretty and all but..." He shrugged.

"T-Tenten? I do not--" Again, he's cut off, but this time it's by himself as what Itachi says registers, leaving him staring. His tone drops several degrees as his eyes narrow. "She what. Where?" He hadn't even known she was here, let alone with... an Itachi. And if the child was to be believed, not one like the one Neji had found himself with. "Did she appear to be under a genjutsu?"

Even as he speaks, he's activating his Byakugan to scan the village and surrounding areas.

Naruto narrowed her eyes, glancing down at Itachi, looking worried slightly:"Did she appear to be in trouble, dattebane?" There is only so much Tenten can do against Itachi. Even Naruto herself was not sure if she could go to par him.

He looked from one to the other, then stepped away from Naruto, offense written all over his face. "She looked -happy-! I was saying she looked -taken- not in -danger-."

That's it. Just as Itachi speaks, he spots her Chakra signature and focuses to the outline of her body. No mistake -- that was his teammate.

His eyes turn to Itachi as he stares at him for a long moment, then abruptly turns and starts down the stairs, a veritable cloud of rage swirling around him. "We'll see about that."

"O-OI NEJI! Wait up!" She ran after him, a frown on her face. She can't read chakra that much but she had to go with him. He can't handle Itachi on his own!

Oh that so wasn't right at -all-! He darted after the two. "I'm coming with you!"

"Itachi." Neji doesn't look back, continuing to fairly sweep down the stairs and straight out the door. "Stay here. Meeting another version of yourself could be... dangerous." In several different ways, most of which Neji didn't want to even contemplate. "Naruto and I will handle this."

She was almost sure Neji would say that she should stay behind too but was relieved that it wasn't the case.

Naruto smiled at Itachi:"Don't worry. We will be right back, dattebane."

"No! It'd be -fine-! I already met a me and he tried to be scary but he didn't want to hurt me so I don't believe you." He half sprinted to keep up.

"You what?!" Neji almost snarls that, glancing back then and shaking his head sharply. "Itachi, I would ask you not to speak with any of your other selves. Do you understand?"

"Oi Neji! Cut the kid some slack!" She stood between him and the little one. She pushed Neji further away from Itachi, whispering:"Don't frighten the kid! Are you crazy dattebane?!" She stared:"We will deal with older one." She quickly did a seal for kage bunshin and nodded at Neji.

She returned to Itachi:"I'll stay with him. You go, dattebane."

Itachi scowled up at her at once and made to dodge around her. "You guys don't have anything to be afraid of!"

He gives the clone a nod, trusting Naruto to be able to restrain the child. Really, if both the real one and the clone were stuck dealing with him, that would be fine, too. Neji wouldn't let this distraction slow him down. Focusing his Chakra in his feet, he breaks into a sprint.

The clone got in the way of little Itachi:"Sorry buddy I can't let you go, dattebane. We should find your mom and help her."

The real one was already outside, waiting for Neji, hiding behind the fence so that Itachi doesn't see him.

He scowled up at her and lunged at her. "Just stop it! I wasn't trying to make bad things happen to him okay?"

Neji doesn't bother to spare an extra glance for Naruto in the bushes; his Byakugan had already spotted her as he dashes past, fully expecting her to either fall into step or fall behind. "I do not intend to go in and attack as the first thing. If possible, allow me to speak with her first."

Bunshin nodded:"I know. They will only talk dattebane. And the talk shouldn't include both me and you."

Real one easily fell in step with Neji:"Then you do the talking, dattebane. It was never my strong point."

Itachi stared up at her as she stopped him from making contact, crossing his arms. "Then why're you so scared of me coming if -you're- going?"

There was a beat of pause before he spun to head for the roof, raising his voice. "Oi! Otouto!"

He just grunts in agreement. No wonder he hadn't spotten Tenten before; the place she appeared to be staying it wasn't near this house at all. He'd been careless.

But he still has to mention, indignation buried beneath the determination to just get there, "But I do not have a crush on her."

Naruto couldn't help but laugh at that. "Well I had to make a diversion from me. You looked very uncomfortable, dattebane." She decided to tease him a bit:"As if he stroke the nerve." Chuckle.

Oh he is not in the mood for teasing right now, especially not where his teammate is concerned. "Is that what people say about us when we train together?" he continues with a scowl, not needing to look at the other to see her expression. "And I assure you, he most certainly did no such thing!"

He blinked at being called, surprised at the sudden appearance of Itachi before calming himself, "Yeah?"

She flailed around, trying to grab him and drag Itachi away from window:"But I am not going with them dattebane! I am still here!"

"You're a Kage Bunshin, the boy Naruto showed me how to do that." Itachi peered up at his brother. "Neji-san is going to go pick a fight with older me's girlfriend and Naruto-nee is helping him."
