Practicing with the new weather... issue was an interesting thing to try to do. Especially given the water formations seemed especially prevalent on the outdoor training fields.

She didn't, however, hesitate to work with her elements, since if nothing else, she'd long since learned how to deal with Naruto, and it would be fun to finally be able to spring an appropriate reaction on him when he did a dousing jutsu to try to shortcut in their spars.

Unfortunately, it also meant that when she decided to take a break she was sopping wet, her clothes were half falling off, and she'd had to chase her sword across the field when one of the spouts had landed on her.

He summoned more clones though, like some kid stuck on a new trick, and again the wave attacked.

They were trying to lure her to back away into that waterspout he could see coming.

And she was declining, instead casually destroying them as she picked apart the hints of moves her Naruto used among the different style... and not really going anywhere at all because of it. "Is this really your plan?"

"Che.." well, darn, if she had gone where he wanted, he could have done it and used the distraction for another attack, but no. It was something he had to try though, and the waterspout had definitely chenged course and was unusable.

Deciding to forego the clones, he rushed at her, kunai in hand, intending to see some of this blade prowess of hers up-close.

Better! She deflected him and lashed out in a kick before spinning into another strike, smooth and quick about her actions. She saw zero reason to go easy on him, immediately pressing her attack, though not trying to stab him. Yet.

Anyone watching would have been entranced by how quickly the two traded blows, evaded or countered. Naruto was jumping or rolling or dashing all over the place, blue eyes determined as he somethines blocked a strike or initiated one of his one to have it parried, with Sasuke retaliating to his every move.

He dove and tried to strike at a leg, body filled with adrenalin.

She flipped away, bouncing off a hand in a cartwheel before coming back in, not giving him a second to breathe as she pushed harder, and harder, by this point actually trying to put a hole in him. He'd heal, after all, and she wasn't trying to hit anywhere vital.

Naruto mostly stood his ground, although he did take one step back at some point to parry, gritting as teeth as the metal of her blade screeched against his. Again and again, sparks flew as weapons collided with each other.

At one point, he dove out of the way, but she actually twisted her wrist and---

She did get what she aimed for, the blade tearing clean into his shoulder.
He quickly sent himself intoa roll as he felt it bite into his flesh to limit further damage, and was back on his feet, not stopping until she stated so. She'd started this so he'd wait for her signal to end too.

She pressed him hard for a bit longer, another furry of attacks before she finally bounded back, looking him over to make sure that none of the damage was severe enough for concern before she lifted her chin. "Done?"

And he met her head-on for all he was worth, blue eyes alight with fierce determination.

"If you're satisfied~" he didn't need to go in Sage Mode and launch a Rasenshuriken to prove he was good in a spar.

"For now." She flicked the water off her blade and sheathed it. "You fight very differently from mine."

For now? That was good. He stored his kunai and gave a happy grin. "Differently? How?" oh, he was interested in hearing about another him!

"You turned the horrible gaping flaws I kept drilling out of him into a usable fighting style, for one." She looked him over. "You're also clearly specialized in different things. Mine can use a sword and has fostered his second affinity."

She waved a hand, a black mark peeking at her inner wrist which was definitely a seal.

"That first thing means I'm awesome, right?" he blinked. "I can use a sword too!" a pause. "I mean if I try, m'sure I can." he crossed his arms and nodded, then... "Second affinity?" he knew he had wind, for sure, but...

His eyes widened as he saw that seal. "Hey! Did he make that seal? I've wanted to learn that stuff too, been in the library to see about that stuff!"

She paused, following his line of sight. "Yes, he did. It was his first masterwork design."

Looking back to his face, she hummed. "How does studying seals make you feel?"

"...makes me feel? I took it up cause there's not much else for me to do here. I was able to remove some nasty seal someone put up as a prank~" yup, all proud of that. "But uh.. you mean I'm supposed to feel weird or such? I know my dad was great at seals, so.. well... it'd be somethin awesome to have. I'm startin to think, seein all those other more powerful-mes pop up, that m'kinda missin somethin..." and so he wants to take the opportunity here and become something greater.

"...there was one me who said he'd teach me how to control the kyuubi, but he sorta... vanished I think."

She peered at him for a moment and shook her head. "No, not exactly. Mine just- once he got past the basics, he turned it into... art. It's a work of love for him. If it's not for you, then it might be useful to learn, but not what you're really good with."

"...." he gave a blink, then another, "Art? You mean that seal you got on your wrist... doesn't do anything? It's there to look nice?" that actually sounded like an interesting concept. "Or it does something -and- looks nice?"

"It does something. It's a tracking seal and he can use it as a pinfocus to reach me. It does more, but it's unfortunately beyond my skills. Even if we have been studying just as long on this topic." She huffed a breath. "But... when he's working on a seal? It's when he's always looked the most content. He says I have something similar when doing my swordwork forms."

"Tracking seal~ Nice!" he gave a grin.

"Most content huh? I'd have to say it's when I'm having ramen!" a pause. "...that doesn't count huh?" he ran a hand through his hair and, somewhat sheepish, gave one of those little smiles. "...but.. talking to a Sasuke... any Sasuke, and... not bein rejected... it's even better than that."

Her tone turned a little wry, and she sighed. "That isn't really the same, but I suppose I'm glad I could brighten someone's day."

"Maybe it's not exactly the same as if it was... my sasuke, but... yeah. It does feel nice." he had that goofy happy smile on again. "Sorry if I sound all fanboy-ish. Then again, you know how I am, hahaha~"

"I'd like to think so. My Idiot still does things like that, no matter what I do." She shook her head, lips quirking. "Though you're taking the relationship better than some have."

"Why wouldn't I be happy for you two? I mean, I don't see how anyone'd look at it and... not like it." Naruto was the epitome of the good guy. "I mean, you love him and he loves you. Nothin else can be better for the two of you."

"A few of the Narutos that have come through this place have been... less than understanding." And oh was that a cranky face yep.

"It's okay~" he assured her, with that ever-shining smile, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You're happy, and if any Naruto cares about you, they'll be happy for you."
