Practicing with the new weather... issue was an interesting thing to try to do. Especially given the water formations seemed especially prevalent on the outdoor training fields.

She didn't, however, hesitate to work with her elements, since if nothing else, she'd long since learned how to deal with Naruto, and it would be fun to finally be able to spring an appropriate reaction on him when he did a dousing jutsu to try to shortcut in their spars.

Unfortunately, it also meant that when she decided to take a break she was sopping wet, her clothes were half falling off, and she'd had to chase her sword across the field when one of the spouts had landed on her.

Well... that didn't last long. "This place... can sure make us think things are okay, but.... then again, things -were- okay back then too.." and how happy and innocent he was, thinking everything would be that way... back then, and now too.

He squeezed his eyes shut, gripping at the bridge of his nose. He could say the circumstances were different, but really..what did he know of this world? As much as he tried to keep an ear out, there was only so much people could talk about within the confines of that shop he worked at, or a cafe, or...
"I can hope, but... that's all..."

"Exactly... so don't wait too long, okay?"

"If you're referring to Sakumo, I'm not waiting or at least I'm sure I wasn't. I mean, I'm pretty sure I got my feelings across the other day." funny enough, in this room too. "He just looked sorta overwhelmed, so I left him some breathing space. I was planning to remind him today with that visit."

A pause. "..if you weren't referring to Sakumo and just making me think of how badly this place could turn out, you uh..succeeded?"

"Neither, both, does it make a difference?" She shrugged and settled into the water.

"It doesn't, after all." he shook his head, rising out of the water.
Because there were many things he couldn't afford to lose. "Think I,ll be off. Want me to make some extra rice while I'm at it?" after all, she might want some omusubi snack too.

She nodded and sank down in the water. "That would be nice of you. I'll be by to see if it survived until I got there in a little while."

"Will do." he dried himself, claimed his bathrobe from the hook before donning it and heading out. It was time to make some snacks for a special someone...
