With a light spring in her step, out was Karin. She felt quite good thanks to some strange but oh so pleasant dream she had. It was so, so vivid too, she could even feel Sasuke's chakra.

Where are you Sasuke? Maybe this was a premonitory dream!
...yes, she had a one-track mind. Why do you inquire?

She had heard this girl was in town, but she hadn't actually managed to catch her for a decent while. Now though? That was definitely the girl she remembered.

"Karin."

Oh. She's the one who's supposed to be a guy. Actually no, she's the one who's that guy has been strung about since everyone expects him to be a girl.

"Sakura, is it?" she pushed her glasses back up. She had never actually met that girl before.

[willtowin]

And that reaction changed things. "Yep. Haruno Sakura. We haven't met, for you I mean, then?"

[coffeeninja]

She shook her head. "Last I remember, we were headed out wth Sasuke-kun and trying to lose any pursuers... but this might all be irrelevant here."

[willtowin]

She hesitated for a moment. "Last time I saw you, you were still in Konoha."

[coffeeninja]

"..still in Kono--huh?" have an iiiincredulous blink. "Chuunin exams...?"

[willtowin]

She shook her head slightly. "No, After Sasuke killed Danzo."

[coffeeninja]

"...Sasuke killed who? I thought he as after his brother Itachi." Who even was that Danzo guy?

There was so, soooo much she ignored.

[willtowin]

"That happened after he killed Itachi... then decided to get revenge for Itachi."

[coffeeninja]

Pushing her glasses back up her nose, she gavea slow nod. It was not unnatural that some circumstances would have happened following this. "I suppose he had his reasons for bloodying his hands a second time. Good to know he succeeded, then."

[willtowin]

The look on her face wasn't exactly thrilled. "It was... not a good day."

[coffeeninja]

"How wasn't it a good day? He succeeded. Danzo was one of Konoha's allies?"

[willtowin]

"At the time, Danzo was the Hokage, and while I'm happy enough to see him gone... Other things happened after that."

screw the mind-reading part, but... hi!

[itachi_san]

Well, it wasn't Sasuke's chakra. But there was an Uchiha's chakra nearby - in the kitchen, making a small pot of tea.

Given the robe and the wet hair, it seemed Itachi had just come from the house bath. That was always a good sign. After a few days in bed, he was feeling well enough to be up and around again.

She was just about to have some breakfast too~ "Ah, it's Itachi-san. Good morning." she inclined her head slightly. He had not needed her chakra in a good while, she noted, and did look very much better.

[itachi_san]

For Itachi, there were still good days and bad days. All things considered, this appeared to be one of the good days.

"Good morning... Karin." he smiled back. "I guess... it is morning, isn't it..."

(In other words, he fell asleep in the bath again.)

She pushed her glasses to the bridge of her nose, having to look at the window to make sure it was morning.

"Indeed it is. So, you have been improving, hm?"

[itachi_san]

"I like to think so..." he laughed a little. There were a few coughs that followed that laugh, but he did sound quite a bit better.

There was nothing quite like a hot bath to relax his body and lift his spirits. It was one of life's simple pleasures, one he loved to indulge in.

"I walked all the way... to the closest training grounds... the other day. Rock Lee challenged me to do it." he added, pride in his voice. "Not sure exactly how I got back, though... Wore me out... pretty badly... but I did it. I made it all the way there."

"Oh~ That's a feat." she gave a light smile. She often wished she could do more, but then again, she had never been able to do anything for the supposed lover she had. Who was she kidding.

"You really are getting much better" she praised.

[itachi_san]

"...I used to take walking... around the village for granted." he admitted quietly. "I used to think... it was something I'd always be able to do. I... know better now..."

It was clear that still he wasn't well enough to enjoy that pastime like he used to. He had been standing while brewing tea, and fatigue was already showing on his face.

"I will respect every step... I get to take."

She drew a long breath. "I do wish I could do more... for you."

That happpiness of hers was certainly quickly gone. "...after all, I can't do anything... for Sasuke either."

[itachi_san]

"Are you... busy this morning?"

It was an odd question perhaps. It was certainly a quiet one.

"If not... would you like to... go somewhere with me?"

[coffeeninja]

She was never busy these days, especially since the last week...

"I would. Anywhere." Anywhere... to hopefully forget how she's slowly losing everything.

[itachi_san]

"I had a... rather strange dream." He replied softly, taking a sip of tea, "About a temple. Somewhere... in the southwest corner of the village... I know it must seem strange, but I'd like to see if... Well... If it really exists..."

He sat down at the nearby table, to have some tea and a little fruit before beginning the trek. It was a good idea, after all.

"I dreamed I was a priest... And that... I was happy there... and healthy there too... I want to know what it means..."

"This sounds like an idea. I can't say I remember anything from that part of the village, but I'll go with you."

She had nothing else... and was starting to feel lost. She had nothing at all to lose. "If it exists, who knows what you'll find.."
