Preparing for the festival.

He had a neat pile next to him on the counter, black and silver leather rabbit god mask at the very top. It was a bit morbid, the story of that, but it seemed like everything about this festival was morbid, so that was actually appropriate, in a way. He had the pale off white and frost blue kimono pulled most of the way up his shoulders, and he turned carefully one way, then the other as he examined himself in the mirror.

The reason? He was playing around with Oiroke, but he was doing it behind a closed door in the bathroom, and he sincerely hoped no one came to see what was taking him so long. He was just... curious. After all, he'd never spent much time in the shape and he had a memory of doing so.

Still, did it really change so little about his appearance?

His lips quirked and he shook his head. "Just... if you ever want to. It wasn't a demand or anything of the kind Tenten, I like you just fine like you are."

"Mm..." She nods, still flushed at the thought. She was curious, sure, but she didn't think... that would just be too weird. Still, she gives him a quick smile. "Well, I'll keep it in mind," she promises, rubbing both hands against her cheeks. "I was just thinking I could use it to prank Sasuke."

He blinked, then quirked his lips. "Considering who invented it I suspect he wouldn't expect it from you." He tilted his head a little, making his hair slide forward. "Would you like me to show you how it works?"

"You said it was Naruto?" She raises an eyebrow and blinks at him, then shrugs with another flush. "Y-yeah, sure, if Naruto can do it, it can't be that hard, right?"

He hummed and stripped out of the kimono, setting it to the side and revealing he hadn't bothered with undergarments for the process. Then he once again brought his hands up for the release hand sign.

She lets out a muffled squeak and stares, both hands coming up as she almost covers her eyes before realizing just how silly that would be. So he was... entirely female. Once it's been released, she's far more comfortable, letting out a sigh and pressing a hand to her chest.

"You know, as pretty a girl as you make, you look a lot better like this."

"If you'd told me that at ten I would have been heartbroken." He flashed her a small smile, then held up his hands in plain view, going through the few signs of it, different but similar to henge, and murmuring the name to return to female.

"What, really?" She raises both eyebrows, then the look of amusement disappears as she watches his hand motions. Easy enough... "Where am I focusing my Chakra?" she asks, hands weaving together as she mimics it several times, trying to get it just right.

"Inward, then out, cover your entire person in one flux of chakra."

Her face scrunches up as she runs through the seals a few more times, then she pauses, shaking her head with a little mortification. "I don't know, I don't think I can do it."

He flashed her a small smile. "Try. The worst that can happen is it doesn't work or comes out... a little malformed. You can always release it."

She bites her lip but nods, a little nervous as she goes through the signs again, trying to focus her Chakra --

And the result isn't... exactly right. The most dramatic difference is her hair, loose in a low ponytail as her bangs cover one eye. The rest of her body doesn't look much different at all, certainly not male. And her clothes are gone, leaving her letting out a muffled, embarrassed whimper. "Itachi! My clothes?!"

"They'll come back." His lips twitched and he moved forward, trailing his fingertips up her belly. "You have to think of your -whole- body Tenten."

She shivers under his touch, but slaps his hand away. "Hold on, I'm trying!" Alright, picture herself as male, she could do this... right? She closes her eyes this time and really tries to focus... then bursts out laughing.

"Picturing your body... with my head..." she manages as she covers her mouth with both hands, trying to stifle her laughter.

He shook his head. "Don't picture -me-. Just... feel it, don't picture it. It gets closest to your natural body type when you do that."

"Easier said than done..." But she knows what a male body feels like, so it shouldn't be too hard.

She does the signs and focuses her Chakra again, and this time, it's male. Mostly. The anatomy is fairly correct, but her hips are still too wide, her waist still curved in and her chest not quite flat. She takes a look at herself, then squeaks again and immediately stares anywhere else.

"Release it and try again, less curvy Tenten." He released the jutsu on himself.

She lets out a small, annoyed whine, but does as he says and tries again... to roughly the same result. So she keeps trying, and trying, several more times until she finally glances down and... well, surprise. It's actually male.

He moved forward, circling her once before quickly running through the signs to do a comparison. "Looks like you have it." Yep, their relative heights seemed to be the same.

She kind of stays still, just staring at herself before experimentally giving herself a poke, just to see. "W-weird... I don't think my oiroke is all that sexy though, did I do it wrong? I thought it was supposed to be like, magically pretty."

[youngesthokage]

"I think you look just fine." He came back to stand in front of her, running a finger down her chest, feeling how she set up her musculature. Perfectly appealing, as you always are."

It feels different, less sensitive to have his finger in such a place, and she's not sure if she likes it. "It'd make training easier, since I wouldn't have to wrap anything," she murmurs, hand going to her throat now that her voice sounds huskier. "I feel pretty ridiculous though."

He hummed and flashed a playful smile at her before running his palms down chest and belly. "Your center of balance shifted though, that would make a difference to practice."

This time she squirms under his hands and flashes him an unamused look. "I think I'd be able to compensate," she huffs, still fingering her throat and to feel and listen to the differences, then flick a hand through the bangs over her eye. "I like the hair though."

"It looks like it's still your hair, just done differently." He rested his hands over her hips, letting her feel the difference. "And I didn't believe you couldn't compensate Tenten."
