When Naruto stepped out of the cave where he was training his nine tails power, he didn't expect to see this.

He expected waterfall, Gai-sensei and Yamato-taichou, not... not this village. It was village, right?
As curious as cat, he walked in the village, looking around at stores, houses and all the interesting places. No weapon store though. Weird. Maybe it wasn't shinobi village?

Wait- how did he ended up here!?

With a sigh, he sat down on the bench under a tree, with long look on his face. In just what kind of trouble he got into now?

He grinned and poked his own:"Yep." He sighed, leaning back:"If I wasn't away for three years maybe I would have been chuunin by now... or jounin!"

He settled back on his heels. "Why were you away?"

He grinned:"To train of course! I got more stronger and such! It's important for me to get strong so I can protect everyone," he gives him wide grin.

He shifted around in place and nodded firmly. "That's a good reason." Hesitating, he drew a deep breath and offered him his hand. "I'm Uchiha Itachi, you?"

He blinks. Once. Twice. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!? Wait! He shouldn't panic in front of a kid, he might scare him... even if-- so that's why he looked familiar! Wait- why is Itachi, not just younger, but KID!?

He gulped, but grinning nonetheless:"U-Uzumaki Naruto!" he accepted his hand. Should he ask him why is he younger?

He gave a firm shake, but there was a little frown on his face. "But... You're way too old to be Naruto..."

He blinks and shifts:"And you too young to be Itachi." Staring. This kid knows him? How? "How do you know about me?"

"Kushina-nee told mom what she was gonna name the baby last time she visited." He shifted a little, uncomfortable. "Then she died."

He smiled at him widely to reassure him:"Oh that's okay. Really. Well you see, it seems that I came here from the future... somehow..." he frowns. He needs to figure out how. "So don't worry, I am real!"

"You're way too old." He saw no reason not to be blunt, but he didn't move away, clearly accepting this answer as reasonable. "So... you're still a genin?"

"Well I am not that old," he mumbled looking away and then nodded. "Yep. I didn't get to become chuunin since I was away training. Although someone once told me that not everything is in the ranks, tebbayo."

He edged over until he was leaning against his side, looking up at his face. "So... What'd you learn?"

He grinned brightly:"Well! All sorts of stuff. I improved some of my jutsu and made grounds to learn sage mode and stuff like that." He's boasting. Too much one would say. Who would say that THIS Itachi is THAT Itachi he knows? Wow...

"Like what? Can you show me any of it? I mostly just know shurikenjutsu and genjutsu so..." He leaned in, looking a bit embarrassed. "I'm really bad with fire jutsu."

[orange_dattebayo]

He patted his head:"Of course! And don't worry! You'll get better very fast!" He stood up and made a sign, summoning kage bunshin next to him. "See? This is kage bunshin. Similar to bunshin but not exactly bunshin. Um..." he tilted his head. "He can punch and stuff like real person unlike bunshin, tebbayo."

"Okay so he's a solid clone, and he's made of pure chakra? Can he think on his own or is he more like a mud clone that really can't?"

The bunshin protested:"I can SO act and think on my own." Naruto sighed:"Anyway- as he said, he can think on his own and listen to orders and when he's destroyed anything he learns goes back to original body. For example! If he goes and picks a flower in park then tosses it and disappears, I will know what he did even if I am on other side of town!" he flailed around with his hands.

He looked quite interested at this juncture and eyed the blond critically. "Does it use lots of chakra?"

He sighed and nodded:"Sadly yes. BUT! That's not problem for me because I am always stacked on chakra!" He walked over to the different tree, little away from Itachi:"I will show you jutsu that my sensei taught me! And I need bunshin for that!"

He extended his hand to bunshin, and the other started molding perfect ball of shiny chakra on palm of his hand. He grinned.

His attention sharpened at that and he crawled over so he had a better angle on it. "That's Rasengan!"

He blinked. How did this kid-- he's not going to ask. He grinned and nodded:"Yes. I learned how to make basic one AND I made several stages of it."

He poured out more of the chakra, making rasengan twice its original size. "This is oodama rasengan. It requires lots of chakra. And other one I know is too dangerous to make in the village with people." He grinned and with rasengan he made, he hit the tree he chose, slicing it up in few seconds.

He watched with focused interest and nodded, then looked back to him expectantly.

After the attack on the tree, the rasengan disappeared.

"It's really powerful but needs lot of training and good timing to know how to use it right. I ended up slicing my hand once just to use it," he grumbled walking back towards Itachi.

He settled back on his heels and nodded his understanding. "It sounds like a lot of work."

He grinned and nodded:"Lot of work and guts, as my sensei used to say. If you work a lot and train, you will also get better at fire jutsu."
