The "New" House

She stared up at her house in satisfaction. Yes, it was falling apart. Yes, it was huge. But, well, if there were different time points of her babies running around, she needed to be prepared didn't she? Why, she might end up with a huge collection of her children instead of just two, and she doubted either boy would be willing to just share their room with some other them.

So. Big house.

Her eyes followed a shingle as a hard breeze sent it careening to the ground.

That needs some work.

Oh well, at least she already had some helpers!

Itachi giggled, leaning against Neji before leaning up on his toes to whisper at him. "Should we go rescue them?"

"Then let go and let me walk! Mom, this is humiliating!" He flushed more as he finally reached the ground floor, pulling more and more to try and break free. If he really wanted to, he could get loose (or so he told himself), but he wasn't trying as hard as he could out of the want to not want to hurt his mother. And to not anger her, but that was just an after-thought. Really.

He quieted down when he spotted the two, stilling for a moment before he turned away and felt his face heating up. Wonderful.

"Oh don't be silly darling, you earned this!" She did release the pair once why were all off the stairs though, utterly cheerful. "Why, you two were behaving -so well- upstairs I couldn't -help- myself."

She tsked at that, frowning at teme, before her attention slipped off towards Itachi and Neji. "Huh?" That's Itachi right? "What are you doing here Neji?"

Neji can't help but smirk as he gives Itachi a glance, murmuring, "Your mother seems to have things well in hand."

He just spends a long moment staring at the girl, Byakugan activated to study her Chakra. Really, save for the shape of her body, she was almost exactly similar to the Naruto he was familiar.

"Training this one," he answers finally, letting his hand rest on Itachi's head again. "While it is strange to see you as such, it... is still good to see you."

Itachi lifted his hand and waved with a smile. "I'm trying to get him to move in too but he keeps saying no..."

He then leaned against Neji's side without any further prompting. He was good to lean on, he didn't tip.

Sasuke was quiet for a long moment, still flushed, before he made to ~~run away~~ walk down the hall and head outside. He'd... He'd see what needed repairing. Anything to get away from the uncomfortable situation for the moment.

Mikoto laughed softly and shook her head. "I'll leave you three to it."

Then she followed after her son.

Sasuke, by that point, was outside and actively surveying the damage to the house. Frowning thoughtfully, he jumped up to the roof and examined the damage up close. They'd have to buy new shingling, and to replace some of the rafters if they didn't want the roof to collapse... This house was in horrible shape. Who knew if they could actually repair it without practically rebuilding.

Naruto blinked, narrowing eyes at Neji:"What do you mean 'see me as such'?"

She stomped with her foot on the ground, pointing at him:"If you too proceed to say that I am boy, I will kick your ass into the next week! And I mean it, dattebane!"

Itachi stared at the girl for a loooong moment, then went over and threw his arms around her. "I get a big sister!"

Neji had just started to hold up both hands to pacify the young woman when Itachi lunges, leaving the Jounin staring with no small amount of amusement, before returning his attention to the female. "Then I will say no such thing. However, I must ask your forgiveness, because I do not know you as such, and thus, will unfortunately have to treat you as a stranger until we are better acquainted. I hope you do not find that offensive."

Whatever Naruto planned to say next she completely forgot as she was unexpectedly tackled by the younger version of Itachi. She stumbled few steps back, looking down at the youngster in surprise. She sighed with a smile.

...wait. This is Itachi. She shouldn't be petting him on the head! He killed the whole clan... in future. This kid didn't do anything... yet. She proceeded to grin:"Yep. Apparently you do, dattebane."

She turned her attention to Neji, scrunching her nose at him:"But that would feel so weird- Neji trying to pamper me and befriend me."

"Maybe he liiiikes you?" Itachi peeked over his shoulder, seeing how Neji would react to this idea.

"I have no intent to pamper you." Neji's nose wrinkles just the tiniest bit in disgust. Him, trying to pamper someone? He's certain his team would collapse into spasms of laughter if he tried... though befriending doesn't sound bad at all. "However, we are of the same village. Thus, I would like to be seen as your com--"

His face bulges weirdly for a moment when Itachi interrupts before smoothing back into impassivity, though if one looked very carefully, one might see the faintest hint of a flush across his cheeks. "Don't be ridiculous."

"Hmmm..." she still had face scrunched at Neji. He is acting exactly the same as one she knows. Maybe too much same. It was creepy.

She blinked herself, glancing down at Itachi. She blushed up to her ears, chuckling nervously:"D-Don't be silly Itachi. He has crush on one other girl with buns, dattebane."

"You mean the lady with the big me I saw the other day? I didn't talk to her though." He shook his head firmly and huffed. "I think he should try someone else. She's pretty and all but..." He shrugged.

"T-Tenten? I do not--" Again, he's cut off, but this time it's by himself as what Itachi says registers, leaving him staring. His tone drops several degrees as his eyes narrow. "She what. Where?" He hadn't even known she was here, let alone with... an Itachi. And if the child was to be believed, not one like the one Neji had found himself with. "Did she appear to be under a genjutsu?"

Even as he speaks, he's activating his Byakugan to scan the village and surrounding areas.

Naruto narrowed her eyes, glancing down at Itachi, looking worried slightly:"Did she appear to be in trouble, dattebane?" There is only so much Tenten can do against Itachi. Even Naruto herself was not sure if she could go to par him.

He looked from one to the other, then stepped away from Naruto, offense written all over his face. "She looked -happy-! I was saying she looked -taken- not in -danger-."

That's it. Just as Itachi speaks, he spots her Chakra signature and focuses to the outline of her body. No mistake -- that was his teammate.

His eyes turn to Itachi as he stares at him for a long moment, then abruptly turns and starts down the stairs, a veritable cloud of rage swirling around him. "We'll see about that."

"O-OI NEJI! Wait up!" She ran after him, a frown on her face. She can't read chakra that much but she had to go with him. He can't handle Itachi on his own!

Oh that so wasn't right at -all-! He darted after the two. "I'm coming with you!"

"Itachi." Neji doesn't look back, continuing to fairly sweep down the stairs and straight out the door. "Stay here. Meeting another version of yourself could be... dangerous." In several different ways, most of which Neji didn't want to even contemplate. "Naruto and I will handle this."

She was almost sure Neji would say that she should stay behind too but was relieved that it wasn't the case.

Naruto smiled at Itachi:"Don't worry. We will be right back, dattebane."
