[Open] Home at last.

She'd been away from home a lot lately and she was more than aware of that. While the kids and other adults were doing their best, they still had quite the pack of children to support, and there had been no fall back funds or reliable missions to take care of the gaps. It was improving now, but she'd had a rash of missions to take care of over the last month, and it had meant that she'd been away far more than she'd been home.

She just hoped everyone was happy to see her, given that the weather seemed to think she needed to be blown away the second she stepped foot back in the village.

In any case, she'd fought her way back to the house, changed into clean clothes, then went out for a walk since most of the house's residents weren't home. When she got back, she'd check on the ones who were, but in the meantime, she saw no issues in fetching some fresh things for dinner before settling back in.

"You can, but then it wouldn't be as special." She looked over her shoulder, making sure he didn't get too far from her.

"Hmm... but if all what I say is true -and- special...?" oh, what a thought indeed.

"You have a lot of practice with this don't you sweetie?" Humor crept into her voice.

[konohasuperstar]

"Uh-huh~ I do~" he gave her a grin. "Amazing innit?"

"That's one word for it. I was thinking more 'amusing' myself but..." She laughed softly and shook her head.

[konohasuperstar]

"Well, it sounds close enough, hmmm?" he purred. he did find himself hoping that a woman like her did exist in Konoha... and was hopefully waiting for him to cross her path. She was easy to get along with. Then again, she was his mother.

"Does it really? What a surprise to me~. You grew up well though, so I suppose I can accept that as the case."

[konohasuperstar]

He gave a light laugh. "Growing isn't over yet~" he pointed out before winking. "Although this next part of growth won't be done here."

She blinked, then gave a short laugh, hiding her lips with her hand. "Dare I even ask?"

[konohasuperstar]

"No big secret, just planning to rebuild the clan once I get back to my world~" he grinned. "That'll sure be an interesting growth~"

"Just don't get overconfident, hear me? That's your father's biggest failing."

[konohasuperstar]

"I'll watch out. Promise. Besides... I know what I want for my clan's future." he answered, dark eyes glimmering faintly. "It's all up to me, after all."

She hummed and studied him for a long moment before saying anything more. "I think you'll do well sweetheart, I really do."

"Aha~ I don't need anything more than those words~" he gave a smile.

She smiled back at once, heading into the house. "Now, is there anything else you'd like to ask me?"

"Did you have any hobbies or anything? I like to look at shiny things~" it made him sound so amazingly superficial, but people wouldn't know him that deeply. "Or did dad make you trash all your hobbies too?"

"Your father... did what he felt was best. I actually like cooking though, so it worked out, experimenting can be interesting sometimes." She gave him a wry smile and shook her head.

[konohasuperstar]

"We can experiment together now~ Bet that'll be great!" he gave a bright, enthusiastic grin. "...as long as the result's edible, ahaha!"

"Edible would be the best outcome, yes." She laughed and opened the door, shooing him inside.

[konohasuperstar]

"I made a few inedible things. Menma wasn't so pleased... and had me pay for takeout instead of risking food poisoning. I still say he was rude to not even try."

"Considering you probably live alone, very rude. You're not dead yet, after all." She flashed him an amused little grin.

He stepped out of his sandals -because apparently he only had to do that- and headed towards the kitchen, laughing. "HA! In your face, Menma, mom agrees!" nevermind how Menma wasn't even there, he won this! "And noooope, not dead yet, even healthier than ever if you're askin me." he set down the bags on the counter when they reached the kitchen.

She laughed softly and promptly set about getting things out so that what was for immediate consumption wasn't put away... and about half the tomatoes were hidden away out of sight.

"Of course I agree, it makes logical sense."

[konohasuperstar]

"Oh, here, hide em in the glasses cupboard, little me can't even see that high even on a stool, and he'll never even think about lookin in there." he snickered. "Operation Safeguard of Tomatoes complete~ Never thought I'd have to plot against myself."

He started taking out the various pots and pans needed to prepare dinner. "Want me on the whole veggie-cuttin process? I can make star-shaped carrot bits~" and of course to not waste anything else, the rest is an assorted rounded-tip triangles.

"That would be excellent Sasuke." She moved to put the tomatoes away where advised, amused that they'd probably still vanish just as quickly, if into different hands.
