[OPEN] Riku no Sato? Away we go?
Today felt like a magnificent day.
No, really, when ever had he started thinking like this? He felt so much lighter since that day, even with the knowledge of the future being as ludicrous as it was. He had, after all, another knowledge to counterbalance it.
After breakfast was an affair that was taken care of -oh, and he would need to buy bread once he got back home- he washed the plate and teacup he used and left them to dry before putting on his boots, coat and giving a light snicker as he wound and then tied his scarf, a few memories drifting by him.
And so, he went out of the now-still appartment, taking out the frowning dragon keychain and looking at it fondly for just a half-second before locking the door, pocketing the key and... nearly geting some sort of breacelet dropped on his head.
There was a blink as the trinket was kept from hitting the ground, a practiced hand swiftly picking it up in mid-air as he glanced up... and then his eyes widened in shock. So many birds, so many vivid colors. He couldn't help but stare, briefly mesmerized by the scene.
Then, there was the missive with the bracelet, which he unfloded to read... and the white eyes narrowed.
It was quite enticing, but also.... quite suspicious. The Hokage should already be aware of this, but in case he was not, and because he wished advice on what to do, there was nothing better but to ask him his advice, if he had any orders.
He picked up one more of the similar notes along with a seashell on his way to where Tenten had pointed him to the Hokage's dwelling.
((OOC: yea, anyone can meet him otw there~ flee!!))

The smile turned into a frown as the item was slipped onto his wrist. "So to recapitulate... these items are suspicious, we don't know where they came from, but you just made me wear one?" he shook his head. "Well then, we should hope there is no strange jutsu linked to these things, hm?" he mused.
...he wasn't going to admit it, but he did somewhat like this. Its design was simple yet attractive..and the colorw as white.
It was probably why she had gotten the urge to adorn him with it, too.
no subject
Waving one of the notes, she quirked an eyebrow. "I'm more interested about whatever they'd be using to teleport people. Sounds like a pretty advanced jutsu to me. Could be a trap. You said you're going to go see Hokage-sama, right?"
no subject
"Yes, I was going to see if he has anything he wishes to do about the grand welcome party Riku no Sato is apparently planning." his voice had somewhat of a light growl to it. "I trust nothing about this. It looks entirely too suspicious."
no subject
That tone to his voice shouldn't have sent a shiver down her spine, not when he was talking about something as relatively mundane as a potential mission, but... it was attractive, the different ways his voice could sound, that she'd never really noticed before. Shifting in closer, she brushed her lips over his cheek. "I'll go with you. If anyone will know what to do, it's Hokage-sama."
no subject
After all, he couldn't resist her. After this, however, he took a step forward. He knew there were matters to attend, and she also would. There was a way to mix both effectively, and he would find the perfect balance.
"After all, we shinobi answer to the Hokage-sama. He has placed his trust in me at that time... and I will not let it waver."
no subject
Still, she couldn't help but smile, pleased and proud that he was seeing Hokage-sama the way she was. "Yeah, I know you won't. C'mon, let's go ask him... unless you think we should just go and send him a report from there? Showing initiative and all that..."
no subject
And so he looked at the missive again. "Apparently we either follow the birds or given them the letter and get instantly transported..."
no subject
"But you know, I could just run there really quick... if Future Me is there, I can tell her where I'm going. You might as well pack your gear so we can be ready to go." A firm nod as she took a step in that direction, then grinned again. "Don't forget your bedroll this time, Neji-sama. After all, I might forget mine somehow~"
no subject
And so, he headed back to his appartment, claiming the supplies that would be adequate for a two-day travel. Since he knew better than to -assume- they may be safe, he simply decided to pick slightly nore than absolutely necessary.
It only was half an hour when he headed back, blushing lightly as more thoughts just entered his head. Travelling for two days was hardly anything eh would mind... not with Tenten...
no subject
And she had to admit, a few days alone with Neji wouldn't be bad at all. Of course the mission came first, but...
Raising a hand in a wave to attract his attention, she grinned and hoisted her backpack up higher. "Got permission, as long as we go over the mountains and try to establish some contacts while we're there."
no subject
"I am ready to go... and yes I did pack a bedroll..." he walked over and briefly nuzzled inbetween scarf and jawline. "We can head out."
no subject
"Come on, or else we'll never get out of here... Mission first, don't forget." She phrased it as if she was reminding him, but it was really a reminder for herself... stupid Neji.
no subject
Certainly, he would be on his guard, but the fact this mission was one in lighter a spirit or as it had been stated, they may be able to somewhat enjoy themselves should this turn out to be what was promised.
"I still wonder about this.." he wore a light frown. "The letter states one can be instantly transported whenver they wish..." he pulled out the paper as they walked. "However it also speaks of the option of walking two days. There is no specific day mentionned, but from what it implies, it mentions 'a day' of festivities. Why only one day? It makes it sound as if they will wait for people to be gathered..." really it was confusing to him.
no subject
Another shake of her head as she thought about it more. "Anyway, I told Hokage-sama that we'd be back in a week, so if it takes longer than that, he knows to send someone to come looking for us."
no subject
He could tell she jumped at any chance she had to leave that house... so this event may come as an amazing boon.
no subject
"Though I wonder if it'll have a beach, what with being Riku no Sato and all. I want to stay at a ryoukan." A pause, then a wink as she returned the favor. "We could even share a room... since it'd be cheaper, of course~"
no subject
...all while teasing each other.
"Beach? Ryoukan?" he blinked, then pondered. This -could- be en enjoyable experience if so. He knew not to keep his hopes up, lst be met with disappointment. "Oho~ yes, room sharing. Budget being saved. Might I remind you mission first~?"
no subject
She leaned a little closer and just blew against his ear before returning her attention forward. "Besides, I don't think you'd mind too much. Maybe I'll find you a new scarf~"
no subject
He leaned just slightly towards her and let out a light purr at the faint blown air, then went as red as a tomato. "...wait what?" oh boy. "This scarf is pefectly fine, not to mention you picked it a few weeks ago."
no subject
Flustering him still took the prize for anything, though, and her grin only widened in response to his dark flush. "What? It would just be a gift. More colors wouldn't kill you, you know~"
no subject
...and then feel somewhat bad when neglecting one or the other. How does that work!?
no subject
Her grin turned impish again as she wormed her fingers free, brushing them over the scarf, to the spots where she knew he was sensitive. "And things that make it easier to do this, hm~?"
But then she looked forward again. "But hand-holding and stuff's good for in Michi, out here, we should be more careful... just in case."
no subject
Being happy may not be as complicated as he originally thought.
All she wished was to make him smile, or laugh.
He also was fond of her laughter, so she may as well be just as fond of his. Although, he was unable to recall the last time he had laughed for real. Well, aside from when he heard that hilariously made up future, except... it was real.
His fingers actually felt somewhat robbed, but only for a few seconds. His thumb raced over his own knuckles, as if to mimic her lips' touch.
He held in a breath as she only brushed over the scarf. "..y-yes, things that... Understood." he had to claim a deep breath.
"Yes. It does make sense." he gave a nod, agreeing with her statement. "We cannot be completely lax. This is not a vcation..." not until they assess the facts, really.

And so hey trekked for hours, until finally a cave was indeed found. It was not all deep, but they hardly needed a palace. "I have brought a container of water for us to use." he had a smaller one to drink out of. "I do know for a fact we will pass by a stream tomorrow, one is at around 560 meters west, which is right along our path." he also took out a small bag. "And I know you can tell what this is."
