[OPEN] Riku no Sato? Away we go?
Today felt like a magnificent day.
No, really, when ever had he started thinking like this? He felt so much lighter since that day, even with the knowledge of the future being as ludicrous as it was. He had, after all, another knowledge to counterbalance it.
After breakfast was an affair that was taken care of -oh, and he would need to buy bread once he got back home- he washed the plate and teacup he used and left them to dry before putting on his boots, coat and giving a light snicker as he wound and then tied his scarf, a few memories drifting by him.
And so, he went out of the now-still appartment, taking out the frowning dragon keychain and looking at it fondly for just a half-second before locking the door, pocketing the key and... nearly geting some sort of breacelet dropped on his head.
There was a blink as the trinket was kept from hitting the ground, a practiced hand swiftly picking it up in mid-air as he glanced up... and then his eyes widened in shock. So many birds, so many vivid colors. He couldn't help but stare, briefly mesmerized by the scene.
Then, there was the missive with the bracelet, which he unfloded to read... and the white eyes narrowed.
It was quite enticing, but also.... quite suspicious. The Hokage should already be aware of this, but in case he was not, and because he wished advice on what to do, there was nothing better but to ask him his advice, if he had any orders.
He picked up one more of the similar notes along with a seashell on his way to where Tenten had pointed him to the Hokage's dwelling.
((OOC: yea, anyone can meet him otw there~ flee!!))

Drawing on all her stealth training, she moved in quickly behind him to breathe in his ear, "Miss me, Neji-sama?"
no subject
He whirled around, eyes wide, because really -that- breath so very near his ear made the back of his neck somewhat tingly, and... -sama? "Ah... Tenten." no, let him pretend he was totally not surprised!
Okay fine, it isn't working, is it? He isn't blushing, right? ...okay maybe a little. darn!
no subject
A beat, then she ducked and dodged, snatching a shell bracelet from where one of the birds had nearly hit her with it. "Again?! Ugh..."
no subject
Her reaction to the falling triket proved this had been occuring for a while. "Any thoughts on these? To me it seems quite suspicious." he looked up, frowning. "This sounds like an opportunity, but getting the key -back- only once we are over there sounds much akin to a deception..." he shook his head. "I was headed to Hokage-sam's... see about his opinion, if he may wish to send us there."
no subject
"But you're right, they are suspicious. I don't know where they came from but..." Reaching, she took Neji's hand and slipped the bracelet over his wrist with a smirk. "Just your style, lucky you~"
no subject
The smile turned into a frown as the item was slipped onto his wrist. "So to recapitulate... these items are suspicious, we don't know where they came from, but you just made me wear one?" he shook his head. "Well then, we should hope there is no strange jutsu linked to these things, hm?" he mused.
...he wasn't going to admit it, but he did somewhat like this. Its design was simple yet attractive..and the colorw as white.
It was probably why she had gotten the urge to adorn him with it, too.
no subject
Waving one of the notes, she quirked an eyebrow. "I'm more interested about whatever they'd be using to teleport people. Sounds like a pretty advanced jutsu to me. Could be a trap. You said you're going to go see Hokage-sama, right?"
no subject
"Yes, I was going to see if he has anything he wishes to do about the grand welcome party Riku no Sato is apparently planning." his voice had somewhat of a light growl to it. "I trust nothing about this. It looks entirely too suspicious."
no subject
That tone to his voice shouldn't have sent a shiver down her spine, not when he was talking about something as relatively mundane as a potential mission, but... it was attractive, the different ways his voice could sound, that she'd never really noticed before. Shifting in closer, she brushed her lips over his cheek. "I'll go with you. If anyone will know what to do, it's Hokage-sama."
no subject
After all, he couldn't resist her. After this, however, he took a step forward. He knew there were matters to attend, and she also would. There was a way to mix both effectively, and he would find the perfect balance.
"After all, we shinobi answer to the Hokage-sama. He has placed his trust in me at that time... and I will not let it waver."
no subject
Still, she couldn't help but smile, pleased and proud that he was seeing Hokage-sama the way she was. "Yeah, I know you won't. C'mon, let's go ask him... unless you think we should just go and send him a report from there? Showing initiative and all that..."
no subject
And so he looked at the missive again. "Apparently we either follow the birds or given them the letter and get instantly transported..."
no subject
"But you know, I could just run there really quick... if Future Me is there, I can tell her where I'm going. You might as well pack your gear so we can be ready to go." A firm nod as she took a step in that direction, then grinned again. "Don't forget your bedroll this time, Neji-sama. After all, I might forget mine somehow~"

He'd originally wished to make some sort of peace after the talk he'd had with one Uzumaki Kushina, realizing a few things about this thing called his fate, but things went another way.
Once he'd been in her body, he had this strange urge to assess dominance. He was main family now, no matter how temporary, and she could do nothing!
...how easily she turned tables on him. Not only had she stood up for herself and called him a fool, she also had said their grandfather had the wrong idea. Going against that essentially meant she rejected the main family and branch family concepts... and wished ultimately for some unification.
...oh and she has stated his hickeys itched but that was another matter.
They did make up for their differences after Neji had realized how moct of what he had done was unforgivable. He was quite easily forgiven.
That is, until their bodies switched back again, and she hit him with her Twin Lion Fists. Now they were quite even for what he did to her in the preleminary matches, however she did bring him to Sakura's clinic. While over there, being healed, he did state how he fervently hoped this was the first and last time he would need her services, all the while thinking what a few years can do to someone since the Sakura he recalled had tied in with Ino after an... intense..ly boring match.
He wasn't saying that aloud.
This left him in the clinic, healing what there was left from a crushed stomach and lower lungs.
He did dislikke just lying there and trying to heal, really. Thankfully even though he could eat no solids yet, it ahrdly bothered him. Tea was a liquid.

So she stormed right into the clinic to find him, equal parts annoyed and concerned and frustrated with herself. "Neji!"

She shifted the chair a little closer, taking one of the strands of his hair between her fingers and giving him a more serious look. "You can't really expect me to just sit here and go 'oh yeah, okay, you're lying in what's basically a hospital bed, no big deal."
no subject
There was a pause, and he figured there was no way he was getting out of this. "Fine, fine... I briefly found myself in a situation of dominance against a main family member and... somewhat lost myself briefly in my misconceptions and hatred..." he gave another heavy sigh, gulping back a cough. Strained thata agin!
"The end result, however... was that I was made to realize how narrow-minded I was, and even heard a main family member speak against those above her... which did somewhat shift my views."
This however did not explain why he was like this... and so... "You do recall, if our worlds had the same basic events, how I fought against Hinata-sama in the preliminary matches? ...well... we are.. even now."
no subject
"Hinata did what?!" she snarled, fingers unconsciously tightening in his hair. "She did this to you? How're you just going to lay here and take it, Neji?"
