Today felt like a magnificent day.

No, really, when ever had he started thinking like this? He felt so much lighter since that day, even with the knowledge of the future being as ludicrous as it was. He had, after all, another knowledge to counterbalance it.
After breakfast was an affair that was taken care of -oh, and he would need to buy bread once he got back home- he washed the plate and teacup he used and left them to dry before putting on his boots, coat and giving a light snicker as he wound and then tied his scarf, a few memories drifting by him.

And so, he went out of the now-still appartment, taking out the frowning dragon keychain and looking at it fondly for just a half-second before locking the door, pocketing the key and... nearly geting some sort of breacelet dropped on his head.

There was a blink as the trinket was kept from hitting the ground, a practiced hand swiftly picking it up in mid-air as he glanced up... and then his eyes widened in shock. So many birds, so many vivid colors. He couldn't help but stare, briefly mesmerized by the scene.
Then, there was the missive with the bracelet, which he unfloded to read... and the white eyes narrowed.

It was quite enticing, but also.... quite suspicious. The Hokage should already be aware of this, but in case he was not, and because he wished advice on what to do, there was nothing better but to ask him his advice, if he had any orders.
He picked up one more of the similar notes along with a seashell on his way to where Tenten had pointed him to the Hokage's dwelling.

Play with his hair? "I wonder if pigtails should be allowed..." he blinked, but then, well, she kissed him. It always felt different from one time to the next...

"I think they should be~" she murmured against his lips, fingers stroking over his ear. "But you've got to heal before I do anything like that, okay?"

"You think they should..."well, at least he needed to heal before anything else? "W-well.. if that's all it takes to make you happy.." he murmured under his breath. "I suppose it should be all right as long as no one else sees..." he pursed his lips, unable to fight back the mental image. Oh dear gods. "I doubt you would drop the matter either way." so why not save hismelf the trouble and accept?

She nodded firmly, lips staying curved into that smile as she brushed her fingers over his ear again and sat back. "I'll let you play with mine too, if you want~" she pointed out, though it wasn't really a compromise. "I don't even have to heal first, you just have to get well enough to be allowed to go home."

"W-what? I don't even..." he stopped himself and huffed. "How about you make the tea in exchange?"
...was he looking forward to healing or not after all? "is this supposed to make me wish to heal slower though?"

"Yeah, alright, but you know I'd do that anyway, don't you?" She let her fingers curl into his hair again and tugged it lightly. "And no! You mean you don't like the feeling of me running my fingers through your hair, Neji-sama~?"

"Ah, I... very much do enjoy it, yes, although I am not exactly certain pigtails will look that good." he gave a worried glance. "I assume you wish to see for yourself..."

"Yes, yes I do." She sat back, letting her hands fall to her lap. "I'll put my hair in pigtails too, then we'll match." Not that she would be caught dead matching Neji out in public, but in his apartment? Yes.

He stared, and obviously his thoughts matched the mental image...
..and he laughed. "Oh by the heavens.. ahah!" no, he couldn't stop. "Oh my lungs hurt, but.. ahaha!" he couldn't stop.

No really, this would be just priceless.

Her face screwed up as though she might smack him, but then -- she couldn't help but laugh herself, only belatedly covering her mouth with her hand to try to stifle it. It was a pretty funny thought.

Once the laughter died down to chuckling, he shook his head. "Somehow, it feels things will be far from boring... with you in my life, now." he reached out to claim one of her hand, stroking the side of it and the knuckles he could reach with a thumb, a gentle, lightly humoured smile on his lips.

"It's true. What did you even used to do in your free time, before you had me, huh? Meditate all day?"

[your_destiny]

"Yes. Is there something wrong with such a way to spend time?" whenever Gai-sensei wasn't training them into the ground, or he wasn't honing his skills, he would meditate.

"Boring," she teased lightly, shaking her head and resting her chin on her palm again. "At least now you have someone to have tea parties with, huh?" Like a little kid~

"...er.. the way you just put that..."

No, no, don't think about it! DON'T!

"What? Seems like a tea party to me. A party for two." She just kept her chin on her palm and grinned again. "You don't think so?"

[your_destiny]

"oh. Ah.. yes?" it was a collection of facts after all. There was tea, and as they say, two's a party, three's a crowd. Just.. facts. Tea party.
Nothing else but tea and two people involved.

"Either way, I... do believe I should be able to get cleared to go home as early as I can tomorrow... unless laughing just then did something bad to my lungs."

"Well if it did, it was your own fault." She sighed a little and let her fingers brush over his cheek again, returning a little to the seriousness of the moment. "I'll come here and help you get home, okay?"

[your_destiny]

"My own fault, when you are the one who came up with such a humorous thing? I highly doubt the whole blame lies upon me, but... it feels in my current state I should not push the matter so much." his hand rose to catch hers, tangling fingers and kissing her knuckles. "Undersood. I will be waiting, then. I may have to see about stocking up on more proper food for my recovery."

She let him take her fingers, flushing at the contact and letting her fingertips trail over his lips. "You know I can do that for you, right? Get your food and your fancy tea, so then you can just worry about getting home."

[your_destiny]

This must be why her name's sound was like twice a dash of heaven. "You are so good to me... I do feel I owe you, so... it may be a good reason to just let you put my hair in pigtails." he chuckled lightly. "Sorry for burdening you with hunting down some food... Keep the receipts and I'll give you back whatever you spent since technically I would have spent it either way~"

She snorted through her nose with more than a little amusement, keeping her fingers there against his lips. "If I'd known that was all it'd take~" she teased, though her expression softened as she nodded. "But yeah, leave it to me, Neji. You just worry about getting better."

He made a noise of commitment before kissing her finger and murmuring around it. "I should most likely try to rest after your visit is over... as immensely boring as sleep is there is little else to do around here. Then again, it must be the main point."

"Yeah, rest is the most important thing." She sighed and shook her head, brushing her fingers over his lips one more time before sitting back again. "I should probably head out soon, huh?"

"If you wish. I am hardly in a hurry to see you leave though~" he purred. "I did not think I would get a visitor, so the action is quite welcome." and yes he did call this 'action'.
