[Open] Home at last.

She'd been away from home a lot lately and she was more than aware of that. While the kids and other adults were doing their best, they still had quite the pack of children to support, and there had been no fall back funds or reliable missions to take care of the gaps. It was improving now, but she'd had a rash of missions to take care of over the last month, and it had meant that she'd been away far more than she'd been home.

She just hoped everyone was happy to see her, given that the weather seemed to think she needed to be blown away the second she stepped foot back in the village.

In any case, she'd fought her way back to the house, changed into clean clothes, then went out for a walk since most of the house's residents weren't home. When she got back, she'd check on the ones who were, but in the meantime, she saw no issues in fetching some fresh things for dinner before settling back in.

She laughed softly and nodded. "A very spoiled little boy."

"I don't think we're ever going to want to un-spoil him, huh?" he gave a sheepish grin. "I mean, so what if he eats all the tomatoes? There's me along, I can carry some more back home today." Besides, making plans to have his younger self not so spoiled? It sounded like a heartache.

She gave him a wry smile and then sighed softly. "I wish all of you were that spoiled, actually. It never fails to make me sad that most of my children seem to have forgotten how to smile."

"Oh, that's okay, I think lil' me kinda smiles for all of us put together, here~" and really, he honestly did. "I got lucky with this whole, er, dramatic event myself and I'm not too bad off. I think I got a lot more reasons to smile now that I'm here though... and the most important reason.. is that I've met you again, mom." dark eyes softened. "I hope I can find someone that pretty and as loving as you are towards her kids, when I end up back in my world. You're the best mom ever." and even though his clan had to be eradicated for revolting, he still held much love for his parents, as he had come to realize here.

She reached out and drew him to her side, arm loosely around him for a moment before she started walking again, hooking arms with him instead. "You flatter me, and I'm not sure I deserve all that sweetheart."

"You do... cause I'm takin none of what I said back. Ever. You deserve all of it and more." a pause, and he briefly claimed the hand he was hooked with, placing a light kiss upon it. "Besides, 'all that' is just a fraction of everything I feel." He did love her, as much as a son could love a mother, as much as she deserved to be loved.

She studied him for a long moment, then squeezed his hand with hers and gave him a faint smile. Some things she just... knew better than to try to explain, especially to her boys. "You are my son, I'd be stunned if you didn't have a strong opinion, hmmm?"

"Missed my chance to stun you? Darn.. aha~" although this sort of stun would have been bad. "Even if I've just chosen to put my goal aside, it feels so nice here...."

Mikoto huffed a soft laugh and reclaimed his arm. "Come on you. Here is... a good place, especially for people like me."

[konohasuperstar]

"Yeah, here... is a good place. For a lot of people actually." he matched her stride, a wide smile on his face as he linked his hand with hers. "If any of my teammates or friends make it here, I gotta introduce you~"

"Why don't you tell me about them? I haven't gotten to spend any time with you and if your world is different, then I want to know every detail."

And so it began.

Sasuke was more than happy to recount how he had befriended that cheerful but somewhat harsh blonde kid that looked like he wanted to prove something, and as they went through their young academy days, was more out of home than anything else, more often at Menma's. Kushina and Minato actually taught him some tricks about cooking so he was able to manage living by himself.

He recounted how Team Seven was formed, along with Sakura whom he had a crush on, but her reason for being overjoyed she was on the team was because she had a crush on Menma. He briefly introduced the strange Hinata-Menma-Sakura love triangle before spending a while recounting their first missions. It might come as a surprise to hear that originally, he was the weakest link. He worked hard, however, to get where he was, and by the sound of his voice, he was indeed proud of what he had become.

Most of it was hidden under the layers of heavy flirting, which he hardly seemed to mind.
He stated how Sakura was the Fourth's daughter as well, and living up to the name, and how Menma was the Team's brains and just like his father, quickly becoming a master with performing seals. "So far, everyone I met says my world's reversed. My sensei, Kakashi, he' a really fiery passionate guy! Always going on about the power of youth~ He's really great... and Team Seven is the best there is in Konoha~ Rising stars~"

She listened closely, not interrupting him as she set about gathering produce, handing it to her son to carry as they moved through the market. When he finished, she studied him for a long moment in silence. "I'm proud of you. Would you like to know anything about me?"

Dark eyes shone as he gave a smile and nod. "Thanks mom." pride, the Uchiha fuel! "I'd like to know what my mom was like! Gotta say I wasn't that much aware as a kid."

"Where to even start? I was a jounin before I had your brother. I mostly retired after that to take care of you boys." She considered a moment and shook her head. "Though I wouldn't trade you boys in for anything."

"Hmhmmmm~ would be a crime to trade me in~" he purred.

"How were things in your time? Who were your teammates, your sensei?" he asked with wide eyes, interested.

"Let's see... My sensei was Jiraiya, and my teammates were Minato and a Nara boy that I unfortunately lost all track of when we were teenagers." She shook her head slightly. "As for everything else, we were in a war."

[konohasuperstar]

"Whoa, you were Minato-san's teammate? When I go back home, I'll ask him why he never even told me. He,s my best friend-teammate's father and never thought to even mention it!" although it was no surprise that the two did care that much about him.

...still, the thought of war was one he definitely disliked. It was good they pulled though. "Now, now, that can't be all! There's gotta be more!" he prodded vocally as he hauled more groceries.

"Now now, I'm the oddball. Most of the Minatos who have come through weren't my teammate and didn't know what I was talking about at all." She shook her head at him. "It just might not have happened where you're from either." She reached out and tapped him on the head. "I have a lot more to share than you I think. What do you want to know about?"

"Did you have any special weapons? Abilities? Heroic deeds? How did you get together with dad?" It might not be from his world, but having his mother here, he would take any opportunity to learn about her. "I don't even know your favorite food cause you aaaalways insisted on making mine!"

"I've always been good with Kunai and know swordwork. The Raiton affinity comes from me, not your father, no really impressive heroic deeds you don't know about, and your father is the least romantic man on the planet at the worst times, do you really want to know that part?"

[konohasuperstar]

"Whoa! See, that's pretty awesome! Thanks for that lightning~ Kakashi-sensei sure had a blast training me to the ground to be able to use Chidori.. Something about the electrifying power of youth." oh did he remember those times.

"Least romantic? So where does that side of me come from, hmmm?" oh there it was again, that light purring, and those just-slightly softened dark eyes. "Something about generations skip?" that means grandad would need to be brought in!

She blinked, then laughed lowly and leaned in to touch noses with her boy, making eye contact before settling back on her heels. "Let's say I'm the direct one alright sweetheart? Be thankful you didn't inherit his attempts at subtle like your brother did."

There was a slightly shocked blink at that gesture, and then he echoed the laugh, clear and strong. "I got a lot from the mom side it looks like~ Wasn't sure where it came from, figured it was this whole individuality thing, but that's easy to claim since I was the last, ahaha~" he quickly pecked her forehead, balancing those groceries with quite amazing ease. "Love you, mom~"

"Love you too baby." She shook her head a little. "I'm not exactly tactful, but I'm not shy about being clear about how I feel. Your father... Your poor brother told me about his attempts to woo his lady and they were far more charming than your father managed. All he did was shove the necklace at me and go 'we should get married.' It was disappointing."
