[OPEN] Weapons Exercise

Just because she was in a strange location didn't mean she was about to take a vacation... Especially not after being beaten so thoroughly by that Neji. The thought still was enough to freeze her blood, the slightest threads of panic starting to set in before her lip firms and she gathers her Chakra in her feet, leaping straight up into the air. For today's training, at least, she'd left the scroll leaning against one of the short wooden posts simulating a human body. Instead, a long katana shimmered in the late afternoon sunlight as she twists in midair, flipping over with a harsh kiai to split the log neatly in two, then turn, weaving her way through another weapon's form, twisting and pivoting as she fought enemies only she could see. Sweat dripped from her brow, the twin buns of her hair disheveled as she panted for breath, unwilling or unable to quit as she keeps pushing herself.

First that Sasuke, then Neji. She kept finding herself forced into situations where she couldn't fight at range. If she were ever going to advance, she needed to get past her current level. They were geniuses, but -- well, if Lee had proven anything, it was that hard work really could beat a genius.

The question would be if she could ever get to that point herself.

"That's fine." He gave another few flicks of his tongue over her face, one a longer lick, then carefully sat up, his arms firmly around her. "Now, let's feed you."

She squirms at the constant licking, reaching up with one hand to rub the last bits of it off her face, but doesn't make any move to stand just yet. "Mm... can we skip dinner and just nap instead?"

"No." He smiled and kissed her jaw, then gently picked her up as he carefully twisted to try to return her to her chair. "Stay."

She lets out a dissatisfied whine, but doesn't move out of the chair, her fingertips trailing over his shoulder. "Can I have some water?"

He hummed an affirmative and moved to get her water rice and chopsticks in a round on that side of the kitchen before laying out the items before her and sliding behind her chair to wrap his arms around her shoulders.

She goes after the water without hesitation, drinking almost all of it in one go, but doesn't move for the rice just yet. Instead, she relaxes back against him and raises an eyebrow. "Aren't you going to eat something?"

He hummed, kissing her hair before taking her glass to refill it and getting his own glass, tugging out the chair at her side and settling into it as he offered her her glass back. "If you insist."

She takes the glass for another drink before setting it down and quirking an eyebrow at him, then his lack of plate. The corners of her eyes narrow in the slightest amount of suspicion, but she just picks up the chopsticks, thanks him for the meal, and immediately digs in -- though she doesn't eat it herself, instead scooping up some of the rice between the chopsticks and holding it out for him. "Well, go on, then."

He blinked at her, then leaned forward to accept the bite. "There is more." It was a murmur as he chewed.

"Then go get some." Resting her chin in her palm, she just looks across at him for a moment before offering another bite.

His lips quirked. "You're not going to eat until I do are you?" He took another bite. "You should be warned that this is a bad plan."

"Why?" She just tilts her head and hums, offering him another bite as she watches his face, unable to keep from smiling.

He took that bite too. "I have a very large appetite, so feeding me your own... I'll refill it for you, of course."

[bunsofsteel]

"Mm..." she hums again, offering him one more bite before taking the sticks back for herself, sucking lightly on the ends. "Maybe you should just go get your own plate, hm?"

"But now I've been introduced to yours." He peeked at her through his lashes and sipped his water.

"It came from the same cooker!" Clearly amused, she finally takes a bite for herself before offering another to him.

He hummed and took the bite. "But then you wouldn't feed me."

[bunsofsteel]

Aaw man! If she feeds him, she'll never get to sleep, no matter how romantic it feels! "Can I take a rain-check on that one?"

He leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Eat Tenten."

[bunsofsteel]

She gives him a pouting frown and turns her head to catch the kiss before turning back to the rice. "If I eat it, we can get out of here, right?"

He made a noise of amusement and inclined his head. "We can get you your bath."

[bunsofsteel]

She hums her thanks and brings her free hand up to trail her fingers along his cheek as she tongues her rice into her cheek to speak. "I'd like that a lot."

He leaned over and kissed her nose. "Soon."

[bunsofsteel]

"Mm..." She goes back to eating a little more quickly at the promise of a bath, poking his own nose with her chopsticks. "Do you want to run it, and I'll join you~?"

He kissed her shoulder and collected his glass, draining it. "I'll be back shortly if you haven't joined me."
