"I see." She nodded, then blinked, pleasantly surprised by the identification, before she remembered, "Ah, you work with Yamanaka Ino, correct? I had forgotten."
A moment as she raised a hand to request a second teacup and a fresh pot of tea. "I prefer this flavor, yes. It is strong without being too overwhelming."
"Aha~ Hardly a surprise I can identify most of those. I've had myself sample a few, just so I could talk more in-depth about them. Still have to get through the whole selection but it'll be done soon." he was a hard worker, even if the task was just sampling tea.
"I do highly enjoy the atmosphere over there~ Since this place is peaceful, it looks like unless I'm told specifically, I won't need to switch to on-duty mode." he stretched his arms over his head.
"Just so you could use them as an excuse to chat with your lady customers?" She quirked an eyebrow in amusement; she'd gotten... better, with knowing how he was. She didn't like it, but she was far better at hiding the minor annoyance, now.
"And of what does on-duty mode consist?" She rested both hands on the table, nodding her thanks when the new teapot was brought to the table. "You should be prepared to be on-duty at all times, even in this place."
"Ahaha~ yes, why not?" he laughed, then shook his head. "Of course not. I do understand that my job is no place to randomly flirt. I do wish to be able to provide good advice to people thatw ant to buy the products, else this shop will lose costumers." he understood business well. When the tea arrived, he refilled her cup.
"Here, let me switch to 'quick' on-duty." Which consisted of taking out and donning his forehead protector and zipping his vest. All in under five seconds. Apparently he had a proper on-duty outfit somewhere, but it wasn't accessible in much a hurry. "Ta-daah~"
"Admirable dedication." She nodded once with a brief flash of a smile, oddly pleased that at least for some small portion of his day, he wasn't flirting with others.
Another nod in thanks as she drew her cup to her, holding it carefully with one hand supporting the bottom, the other cupped around it. Another raised eyebrow as she fought back another smile. "I see."
As far as weapons, he looked unarmed save for that holster at his leg, perhaps fighting more with jutsu than weapons, though it was unclear. "As far as dedication, yeah, it tends to shock those that think all I can do is be a vague flirty presence in Konoha." he shrugged.
"...and if anyone ever wishes to catch that Uchiha off-guard, well... they never will." those dark eyes had shifted as soon as he had donned the hitai-ate, gaze more steely and determined.
Coming from someone who fought almost entirely with her bare hands, the sight of few weapons was hardly troubling. She tilted her head, one hand casually raising to cover her mouth as if in contemplation, though in reality it was to hide her smile. "Truly? There were those in Konoha who believed you to be as such?"
She met those eyes without difficulty, white meeting black to read the same kind of strength and determination she would expect from any shinobi.
"No need for on-duty mode when all we're doing is having te though." he unzipped his shirt, undid his headband's knot to store it safely and finally poured himself his own cup of tea. "Our team is one of the most reliable in Konoha in our age range. I've always done all I could to see a mission though, even if I had a few frights. Menma takes after his dad a lot, and he can take split-second decisions that save the day."
"It sounds as though you had a skilled team." She nodded and gingerly blew on her tea to cool it before taking a gentle, measured sip. "I cannot say for certain, but I believe before certain... events happened, your teamwork was quite good, where I am from. Certainly nothing when compared to ours, but..."
She masked her lips with another measured sip of tea. No point in being melancholic over those left behind. It would most likely be temporary.
Was a purr really necessary there? She only hmph'd quietly and set her teacup down, arching her eyebrow again. "Do you mean to say that you do everything well, or simply that you are proud of everything you do?"
It's always necessary! "I mean to say that I put in all the efforts I can into everything I do, and take pride in such a fact." he finally claimed his first sip of tea.
"So it would seem," she agreed, covering her mouth briefly with her hand to again hide her smile, though there was no way to mask the way the corners of her eyes crinkled in amusement. "An excellent endeavor."
"Aha~ Sure. I'd forgive anything if you asked~" he stretched before claiming the cup once more. "And so... have you found any goal or occupation in this village yet?"
"I have, indeed." Her expression soured a little at the mention, though she cleared it back to impassiveness in an instant. "I have started work on a temporary basis to practice acupressure. Juuken is useful in that regard, yet I confess -- the moment there is unrest in this village, I will gladly enter the heart of that."
"Acupressure?" he blinked and leaned over, interested. "That sounds like something I'd love to try if I feel too tense~" and how would he ever, if his life sounds that awesome...? "Where are you doing this, hmm?"
He certainly didn't seem like someone who would need it, however... "There is a man in this village who specializes in remedies to joint pain and acupuncture. I have offered him my skills, in exchange for a small amount of money and the training years of experience can afford." White eyes flicked over his face. "It may aid with Chakra flow as well, if you were ever to feel interested in trying it."
"I'd like to feel that for myself sometime~" plus, having the company of a woman was always best. "I'm sure to find the place if I ever look." he sipped at some tea, relaxing into the chair. "It is a change from my past world, but adaptability is a good trait to have~"
"I'm sure." She nodded once before exhaling and bringing the cup to her lips again, taking a measured sip before adding, "If you wish, I could give you a demonstration. Free of charge, of course."
Yes, he is the most relaxed person in all the village-- make that the world! How would he even need this!? "You have all my attention and interest~" he purred. "What do I need to do?"
As an excuse to have a cute girl with her hands on him, maybe? She just gave him another patient look and set the teacup down. "You? Nothing but lie down and permit me to practice working Chakra into pressure points."
"That sounds easy~ and relaxing enough." he was already quite looking foward to that... and maybe he was using that as an excuse. "Anytime you wish, then~"
"Tonight." She took another sip of tea to keep from sounding too pleased that he had been so quick to accept her offer. "If you have no outstanding obligations, that is."
