[ Whoops-a-daisy. Looks like someone suddenly cannot hear. He's in a restaurant, trying to figure out where he can order a burger and fries, talking way too loud at the manager. ]

I'M SORRY! CAN YOU HEAR ME?! I NEED TO KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A BURGER AND FRIES. LIKE AT MCDONALD'S! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS? YOU GOTTA KNOW! IT WAS HERE BEFORE THE SECOND WORLD WAR-- IN THE 1940'S. IT'S BIG AND RED WITH A BIG YELLOW M! SIMPLE M! IT LOOKS LIKE THIS!

[ He draws said 'm' in the air with his finger, but good grief, he can't hear a thing! He can't even hear himself! He doesn't even know if he's speaking English anymore. Oh no; that reminds him of something. ]

DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?! HELLOOO! I NEED. TO FIND. BURGERS. HAMBURGERS. IT'S-- IT'S A MEAT PATTY BETWEEN TWO BUNS AND SOMETIMES YOU GET CHEESE IN IT. AND POTATOES. DEEP FRIED POTATO CHIPS.

[ Apparently one of the employees recognizes potatoes and happens to hold up a few for Shisui to see. At that, Shisui nods excitedly, beaming because somebody understands! ]

YES! YES, POTATOES!

[ Except the manager is now telling his employee to bag a few potatoes and put it on Shisui's bill. He takes it back. Nobody gets it! ]

NO, NO I DON'T WANT YOUR POTATOES! NO, THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE?!

[Her eyes narrowed, and she leaned in, just shy of too close for him to be able to read her lips.]

If you don't stop shouting you will regret it Shisui.

[ He huffed, scowling some more as he reached up to his ears and rubbed them. ]

[She inclined her head slightly and gave him a smile.]

That's much better.

BUT WHY CAN'T I--?! [ Oops. ]

Er-- Sorry. Why can't I hear? I was fine before I walked in here. The moment I stepped through the doors, bam! Deafening silence. [ Bad puns. ]

Probably a seal. We have a mischief maker who uses them somewhere. [She shrugged it off, not too concerned.]

If it doesn't go away by tommorrow, then worry.

A what? [ What the heck was a seal? Had he read her lips right?

...Hold on a second-- ]

You're telling me a 'seal' did this? [ Oh wow. He's got that 'what do you take me for, an idiot?' look going on. Seals couldn't magically make people deaf, let alone learn how to walk. They waddled. ] Yeah right. What next? Santa is real? We're hanging out with Bigfoot at 5:00?

[ He does sort of already start worrying about the if it doesn't go away part though. ]

[Have her staring at you for a long moment, then looking at his table, putting down money for the bill, grabbing his potatoes in one hand, and his wrist in the other.]

Come.

[She's tugging you out of your chair now Shisui.]

Wait, wha-- Why?

...Are we taking the potatoes? Hey, why are we taking the potatoes? Oh okay, you're paying. That's cool.

[ He doesn't have much of a choice in this matter, so he'll follow~ ]

Where are we going?

[She pulled him along, taking him to a training field and releasing him at the edge of it, putting down the potatoes before looking him in the eye.]

Do a jutsu.

[ He's standing there opening his mouth for a long moment, trying to comprehend. ]

A What-su?

[She just... is staring at him now,then sighs, taking a few steps away and moving through hand signs, ending by touching her lips and breathing fire before looking at him expectantly.]

WOAH. ]

...I can do that, but I'm gonna need a lighter. And it's gonna come out the other end.

[She peered at him for a long moment, then padded over and cupped his face, tilting it up and studying it intently, brushing her thumb along under his eye.]

Something makes you special, or you wouldn't be here.

[ He had learned not to reach for his gun every time someone put their hands on his face in this place-- apparently it wasn't an uncommon practice. Weird, but it was something he was going to have to get used to.

So he doesn't exactly pull a weapon on her, though he stiffens at the touch. Also, blinking. Itachi, you looked real cute when you were younger, ahem. ]

...I'm a good looking guy?

[She blinked, then laughed softly and quirked her lips in an amused smile.]

At least you're still you Shisui.

[Then she dropped her hands.]

Not as cool as the ninja version, I suppose. [ Have a smile yourself, mini Itachi (who he doesn't know is a girl yet) ]

But still cool.

[ Staring at the bag of potatoes, by the way. ]

So when do we go out to get burgers? Man, I miss home. And I miss my baby. [ Aww man, look at that pout :C ]

[She reared back a little, eyes widening before she leaned into his line of vision.]

You have a child??

[ He's still too engrossed in missing his 'baby' to point out the differences between a kicking, screaming, snotty-nosed child and a B1-B. Also, he wasn't looking at her, so he didn't hear her-- ]

She was the most gorgeous thing I ever beheld.

[ Don't mind him. He'll just sigh dramatically and flop down onto the grass, crossing his legs under him and looking up into the sky, squinting in the direction of the sunlight and smiling in recollection. ]

We soared through the wide open spaces, just me and her. And it was like the heavens belonged to us, and we were air.

[Alarmed was not too large a word for the look on her face, and she was just... staring in mute horror that he was a parent. Not that it was BAD but....]

[ Cue more reminiscing and sighing and staring at the big blue sky before he finally turns to look at her... ]
