[Hashirama arrives during one of the waves of larger hailstones, amongst the trees. At first he manipulates the wood to shelter him a bit more, then quits when he realizes it's letting the hail do even more damage to the trees.

He runs for cover instead. Wearing his red plate armor, he's mostly shielded from blows, but his head is still bared and the hits still sting.]

Ow! Ow! Owowow!

[He bounds easily and rapidly down steep faces along the mountains, looking for someplace inorganic that can shelter him. Discombobulated the whole time - what just happened, and where is he now?! This is sure INCONVENIENT. Some enemy's trick?! Nothing had better be happening to Konoha-!

He finds one of the shopping districts and slips deftly in amongst the people and then under a sturdy awning, rubbing his head and frowning ruefully. Weather like that was not a pleasant welcome. Discretely he forms the handsigns to dispel genjutsu and runs through that routine, his frown becoming more pronounced when (of course) nothing happens. Hmm. Some kind of teleportation jutsu?

What to do now? He stands and looks around, stretching out his senses to feel for hostile presences and withdrawing a little further under the awning as he does. Since he's actually a big goofy nerd and not an emotionless, shadowy god, he steps on someone's foot as he goes.]

Whoops, sorry!

[WAS IT YOU?]

[ooc: Hashirama! Canon verse, pre-death (in spite of icons, ignore those please) but post-Madara-leaving-the-village. Feel free to come and bother him. lol I was going to wait but then decided to make hay while the sun shines.]

This had been... a week. She'll just leave it at that. Especially given that she'd had no less than fifteen people this morning come in with the opening line of 'Did you hear?'

Yes, she loved gossip, and the information hidden within, but this was just getting ridiculous!

In fact, everyone was so set on telling her things that she'd missed some important things that she really hadn't been able to afford to. She needed a helper in her shop. There was no two ways about it anymore. She couldn't keep up with everything going on by herself now.

There were just too many shinobi these days.

One of the definite advantages to being brought from one place to another meant that with the weird time-skipping-whatever? It was already her birthday, instead of being a few months later.

Fifteen years old... she absently wondered if she could talk to Hokage-sama about holding a Chuunin exams, or putting her through them. Fifteen and still a Genin? Lame!

Either way, she took advantage of the warmer weather and one of the rare hour-or-two-long breaks in the hail to skip down one of the main streets, wearing a new outfit she'd bought for herself in Riku -- a bright red, long-sleeved Chinese-style tunic with gold clasps and a plain pair of black pants. Time to find herself the perfect weapon to serve as her birthday gift to herself... Other than the wooden umbrella she'd made sure to get for her own protection. That barely counted!

[minibuns out on the town! birthday is tomorrow, but throwing the log up now because impatient]

Kakashi needed the time to think. While having Asuma-chan live with him was fine—even a little cathartic since they could talk about the issues of their teams—he still needed space.

So, he was braving the weather to do so.

[OOC: Kakashi wants/needs to talk to quite a few people, the Sasukes not to be ignored. So, have at him, villagers of Michi no Sato.]

He finally managed to use his closet as a ruse to slip his mom for a while, and headed outside, careful to stay out from under the open sky. Any bruises he got wouldn't last, sure, but he didn't want to risk his mom getting more protective than she was if she noticed any either. It was nice and all but... Yeah.

Besides, it was about time he explored. Better than being caught unprepared.

Okay, so the freaky hail was kind of strange, but Kushina decided that she could only practice so much inside. So, in between the spurts, Kushina made her way to the training field south of the large house.

Just as she was about to take out the boken she'd fashioned from a tree branch, she stopped and waited for her observer to join her.

"What can I do for you?"

These bits of ice coming from the sky pelting him were annoying, but even meteorites would not stand between Naruto and his ramen. And so, the day found him at his usual spot, slurping happily on noodles.

He always looked so dense and stupid all the time, one might not believe he actually was listening on to the nearby gossips... which was holding his full attention.
Something about a siege in Reiraku, from what people from.. this.. Chikai place were mentionning. He continued slurping, and when no noodles were left, promptly drank the broth, paid for his meal... and headed out.

These tidings of war... He had no idea where these villages were, but he had to see the Kage. If he headn't heard already, he would bring over the news.

Hail Storms

The warming weather proved to perhaps have been a curse in disguise, as even thought he last traces of snow had finally melted away, it seemed that the mountains were determined to replace it. With hail. Just as everything else in Michi, the hail was far from typical, seeming to come in waves that varied in size between that of tiny beads and what one wouldn't consider unusual for a orange. The smaller the hail, the longer the wave, so blessedly the very largest hail only seemed to rain down for a few minutes before stopping entirely for an hour or two.

The locals, ever vigilant, seemed to have started whipping out foldable wooden umbrellas that could take the punishment. They were, of course, on sale. If you could get to them.

Even better, if you got one, you'd get locked into a gossip session. It seemed that some of the locals had heard rumors from Chikai no Sato that Reiraku no Sato was once again under siege from the battle contingent of Kutai no Kuni.

Clearly, the shinobi had to hear about this. Right?
