One Long Mission

With the startling drop in temperature, Neji was grateful this place had not only outdoor baths, but indoor ones, as well. He would hate to wait until earlier in the spring to use that free voucher he'd received a few weeks ago. As a shinobi of the Land of Fire, he was hardly used to such temperatures. Weather seemed to go from wet to dry there, instead of a slower change like this place.

Faced with the cold, there didn't seem to be anything for it but to make his way to the onsen. It appeared that the indoor male and female baths respectively were temporarily closed for maintenance, and while he certainly could use the ones outside, he wasn't quite ready to test how warm the water was in the face of what felt like an absurd level of cold outside. So, reluctantly, he scrubs himself clean and makes his way into the indoor mixed baths, a bandage wrapped securely around the green manji engraved on his forehead. Fortunately enough, they were empty for now, and the Hyuuga Jounin just lowers himself into the warm water with a sigh, moving to the far side to have his back to the emergency exit and his eyes on the entrance, by reflex. Something like this was edging close to perfect. Hopefully he wouldn't run into anyone who would ruin the peaceful atmosphere here...
