The strange weather was starting to warm up so that he could spend more time out on his balcony in his downtime. His landlady was most generous in letting him work in her shop when she wanted to do other things for a cut in his rent. Really, it was a great arrangement. The peace and quiet of the village was nice, but it was something he wasn't really used to just yet. He was a man of action, always doing something for the Hokage.

When the sky seemed to crack and the birds appeared, Kakashi could only wonder what would happen next. One of them dropped a letter, with a pretty little beaded bracelet near his foot. He bent over to read the missive and pondered the situation. It was nice to know that this village wasn't the only place in this strange little world he'd been mysteriously delivered into. The transportation key was a bit dangerous, so that was ruled out immediately. But a trip over the mountains? That would be a chance to do more reconnaissance than he'd been able to do.

He packed up his meager belongings and got together enough supplies to last him for the trip on foot. It only took a few hours to get his preparations completed and headed out towards the village's gates that had reappeared. He felt lighter again and ready for some sort of adventure.

Being in new places wasn't something Yugito wasn't entirely unfamiliar with, but when it's somewhere she can't place on a map? That's when she starts almost panicking, even if it's a completely inward thing. A light hiss slipped past her lips, mind distracted as she conversed back and forth with Matatabi on their situation and location. Not getting the answer she'd been looking for from her partner she paused, attention focusing on the area at large, body tense and ready to strike at any semblance of a threat.

Great, just great. This felt like a trap just waiting to be sprung on her, knowing that she was a large target by herself. It came with the territory of being the head of Kumo and of course being a host, even if she didn't speak or act much on the matter anymore. Silence, secrecy, that was the best way to keep her from falling into the same fate a certain friend of her's had so many years back.

There were no chakra signals for her to pick up on just yet, nothing that seemed to pose a threat. Even then she didn't allow her guard to fall, moving forward slowly and carefully as she did. Matatabi was a constant background noise for her by now and the voice of reason, but even then the nekomata was just as concerned and on guard as she was.

Today felt like a magnificent day.

No, really, when ever had he started thinking like this? He felt so much lighter since that day, even with the knowledge of the future being as ludicrous as it was. He had, after all, another knowledge to counterbalance it.
After breakfast was an affair that was taken care of -oh, and he would need to buy bread once he got back home- he washed the plate and teacup he used and left them to dry before putting on his boots, coat and giving a light snicker as he wound and then tied his scarf, a few memories drifting by him.

And so, he went out of the now-still appartment, taking out the frowning dragon keychain and looking at it fondly for just a half-second before locking the door, pocketing the key and... nearly geting some sort of breacelet dropped on his head.

There was a blink as the trinket was kept from hitting the ground, a practiced hand swiftly picking it up in mid-air as he glanced up... and then his eyes widened in shock. So many birds, so many vivid colors. He couldn't help but stare, briefly mesmerized by the scene.
Then, there was the missive with the bracelet, which he unfloded to read... and the white eyes narrowed.

It was quite enticing, but also.... quite suspicious. The Hokage should already be aware of this, but in case he was not, and because he wished advice on what to do, there was nothing better but to ask him his advice, if he had any orders.
He picked up one more of the similar notes along with a seashell on his way to where Tenten had pointed him to the Hokage's dwelling.

((OOC: yea, anyone can meet him otw there~ flee!!))

News travels fast around a shinobi community, but rumors travel faster. Especially when they turn out to be true.

The sick Uchiha... died.

Luckily, little Saskue was able to get help and Sakumo was able to resuscitate him. But for a couple of minutes, Itachi was gone. And as dire his health had been, that spoke volumes. And it practically guaranteed that others would have volumes to say to him about it as well.

[He's not going to be out of bed for a while, so come on in and pay him a visit.]

He's a wanderer.

Ever since the traumatic day when everything was taken from him, he's been a wanderer. Nothing more, nothing less. A shinobi? Only in the barest terms. A crimson band of cloth covers the ruin of his sockets, hiding the shame from the world; his memories of receiving basic medical care from a civilian village are fogged by the fever that ravaged him during those days.

Ever since then, he's wandered. Slowly learning to survive, slowly adapting, he now moves with some trace of his old grace and confidence, as though he has some perception of the world beyond the reach of his hands. The snakes have taught him, and experience, the slow and bitter sensei, has taught him.

But he will never again be what he once was.

He's entering another village, he knows that; where it is, what its name is, he doesn't know. Doesn't entirely care. Perhaps they'll feed him, perhaps he can trade some manual labor for a few coins, and then move on again. That's all he can hope for anymore.
